I think the heat would be to much for the Plasti Dip if you did the Brembos.

Some people say black wheels are played out but I love the look

Black wheels just go with anything.
Thanks! I just ordered the red plasti dip from Ace Hardware as well as blue. I also ordered the Brembo stickers on eBay. I'll post pics up once the calipers are done.

Rattle cans are for arts and crafts, the wheels simply take too much abuse.
I plastidipped mine two years ago and they still look great minus the brake dust

How many cans of Plasti Dip did it take to pain all your wheels?

Now I have to figure out wtf to do with my BrownBos. Can I plasti dip them too?
I might just try it.

wheels look good, but those arent "brownbos" they are just faded as hell. "brownbos" only happen when you actually track your car and the heat turns the red into a maroonish brown color from the heat baking the paint off. your car hasnt seen the track or they would look alot different.

Thanks! I think these are pretty faded. I'm not good with colors, so I'd have to say they are pinkbros

I'd imagine using plasti dip on the calipers would not work due to the heat. I plan on tracking the car next spring. I have a fear that the plasti dip will melt onto the brake pads or rotor and would limit braking.

It only took 3 cans for mine, however, my wheels were pretty dark to begin with. It could have probably used another coat. I just got tired of painting to be honest.

Same here and I had stockers.

I did three heavy coats overall.

You could do it with less I am sure but in this case I think more is a bit better.

wow those things are done! i dont think ive ever seen a pair that faded. you can always just use some 2000+ degree paint for barbecue grilles thats what alot of track guys do because no matter what its going to turn brown or black from the heat.

That's a great idea! I was looking at the G2 Brake Caliper Paint System in red, but I was thinking of going with a flat black paint too. I think I'll have to try the BBQ paint 1st. I want to change my brake lines and bleed anyways. Thanks for the idea!

no problem, you might want to use 500 grit sand paper on them then 750 and finally 1000. after you can use a self etching primer to make sure it sticks really good and finally add the barbecue grille paint. should last a while and worst case ur out about $15-20.

Duplicolor makes a good caliper paint and its only about 20 for the kit. It also comes in a spray can for about 8 bucks. I know they have black if thats what you were going for.

Very nice.

I love when people question plastic dip for duribility. I have painted several cars and trucks wheels and bumpers with that stuff. Wheels don't get as beat up as people think.

Hell My last truck saw many highspeed dirt roads and its plastic dipped wheels where still perfect.
