I think the orange looks pretty good, kinda retro. I'll try some colors and see if it helps.

As for the lines, it'll take some time. Not really hard, just tedious to adjust every marker. I'm weary about shortening the lines since it matches the BLM gauges well the way it is.

Yes - try to keep it matching the BLM as much as possible...

Hm... well you posted a couple of gauges back there - I don't terribly like the Blitz design because of all the wasted space around the edge. It causes the inside to be squished together and causes that "clutter" look. I would go for something like the Defi design - it's not too sparse (like the GReddy) but there's not like there's too much going on at once. The Defi looks very clean and professional IMO.

However, the design is very cool so far, but I think you might want to try out some different designs while you're at it. Good luck!

What ^ said, even though I can't see gauges getting much better than those already. Unbelivable work, keep it up and make more chops, then start producing them.

Well, this is the first design and the goal was to match the BLM gauges, so to that effect, I can't incorporate every suggestion. But I'll work on another one once we know more about how to produce this first one.

I do have a Defi/Greddy style that I like and would work on later. Stay tuned.

I love the white on black gauges...but I personally think the blue glow is RICEY as hell. Do you think it'll look good glowing amber? The blue wouldn't match my GReddy gauges since they glow amber. Maybe something like the STi gauges........

Something like the STi gauges would be nice.

Too bad, they are made by Defi with BF technology, so I doubt anyone here will be able to reproduce that kind of technology...

I'm just talking color-wise. Blue gauges are ricey IMO. But having a nice simple bright amber glow like the STi gauges would be awesome. The stock gauges have an amber glow but they're hard to read in daylight and even harder at night.

It'll be hard to reproduce the STi/Defi BF effect on the Evo cluster and it'll be expensive also.....but it'll kick *** if someone could do it!!

Just to clarify. My current plan is to have a completely color customizable gauge. I'm designing this so that I can apply any color anywhere you want. Regardless of if it's the whole gauge, part of the gauge. We'll be able to leave the whole gauge white by day and any color you want by night because the color filter is placed behind the white.

So just keep in mind what colors you want and we'll work on it once the base design is done.

I take it that this is just an overlay for the gauge? Otherwise I was going to say you could try putting LED's in there for backlighting, but design them like the Omori gauges so that you can have any color you want (ala new Mustang cluster). That would be a guaranteed winner, hands down!

If you mean overlay for the stock gauges, no. There is no way I can think that will create a new design if the stock gauges were sitting underneath.

This is a replacement gauge. But my plans is to have a white on black base which will allow me to apply color in anyway I see fit.

Are these really just overlays??? I thought they were going to be a complete gauge cluster replacement. I guess it does not matter all that much as long as they look cool.
