So I was on the way to work and floored the car in third then i hear a POP,
and the car falls flat on its face... i'm guessing right around 5k rpm? Its tuned and I have Injen intake/UICP, Ets 3.5" intercooler, Walbro 255, AMS downpipe, test pipe, Grimspeed 3port and a invida catback exhaust. Boost is around 27. No pipes or hoses came off, and No CEL....Any ideas? Thanks guys!

 

So..does it start up and run or are you dead in the water? You double checked all hoses?<br />

Could be a crank sensor or balance shaft belt or even timing belt. I was pulling away hard in first and shifting into 2nd is when it popped and died on me. My balance shaft belt snapped taking out my crank sensor and trigger plate...would crank over but not start. Had to remove lower timing cover to expose carnage.

Im not down. I can still drive it fine, and even still can get boost sometimes. I triple checked all the inter cooler pipes and vacuum lines

 

Do a boost leak test. It sounds like a boost leak.

 

Damn, really? I didn't think a boost leak could do that. Plus on top of that it still hits 27lbs before it happens. Im stumped.

 

Bump didn't do a boost leak test cause i still hit my 27-28 lbs. I don't know what this can be, it doesn't happen every time i go wot in third......stumped

 

when you hit 27-28psi does it still feel like its pulling, or is it still flat?

 

It goes to 27-28 then pops then im guessing it falls into vaccum or zero lbs
