Evo X official paint issues/problems thread {merge}
I went to my dealer today and they said mitsu would fix the paint for free but I had to pay to protect it afterwards. I think that is pretty good of them to do that even tho it will cost me to get the 3m tape put on. It's about $100 per side hopefully it will do the trick.
I realize mud flaps are not the total solution to this problem. I have seen that some people are using the OEM and some people are using the Rally Armor flaps. (as well as a $5 solution)
Does one or the other provide better protection? I'm pretty sure I can get my dealer to comp the OEM flaps, but if the Rally Armor flaps provide better protection, I would rather just purchase those myself.

Do anyone know if the aero kit actually prevent rocks from kicking up to the body? I have an aero kit but i only had the car driven about 300 miles so theres no significant paint chips at all.
I just want to know if the aero kit works cause if not i may have to spend few more bucks to protect my paint.

my buddy has the kit plus the RA flaps...10k not a single chip...i have about 13k on mine and didnt have the kit till recently and it looks so sand blasted... but since i fixed the paint threw on the RA flaps and the kit...nothing...i wish mitsu would have covered at least the paint...i saved all my receipts so just in case of a class action ill still get reimbursed

As you said though, the RA flaps definitely help. They stick out way past what the aero kit does.
is there any web sites that sells the RA flaps for a decent price? i would love to purchase it just to be in a safe side. and are there any pics of the RA flaps installed here? I never seen them before, I just got my EVO X last week...thanks

So the kit is available now? Do you guys have an official part number for both left and right sides? I saw part numbers from a couple pages back, but still wanna confirm it.
I'm at 400 miles and I have 3 tiny chips on both sides.
