Yah those flaps don't stick out to protect side reflection. Can anyone confirm Rally Armor flaps protect the paint?

I have the Rally Armor flaps and they do a pretty decent job. You'll still get the paint damage on the rear door and skirt, but it won't be as bad. The best way to combat against the chips is to have your car covered in the 3M clear bra stuff.

I had RA flaps on my car and they didn't fully protect my paint on the rear doors, I still got quite a few chips while they were installed (only about 2 months of use).

. Well hopefully the RA flaps + aero kit will protect it for me. I just can't picture doing clear bra (3M) on the doors. It's already $1k to do it on the front / hood.

I think the dealer charged me $180 parts and labor to do both doors and the flared part of the side skirts. It actually looks a lot better than I thought it would and it solved the paint chipping problem.

I don't have the Aero kit on my X, so I'm sure you'll have better results with the flaps.

Wow $180? That's reasonable. I've heard of of 3M's materials yellowing. Any experience with that yet? How long have you had it?

I've had no chhips since Mitsu repainted and added the 3M film. Thats probably the only to solve the problem. Flaps and areo kit would be second best way. Other that that SOL.

I think some people in this thread have mentioned that mud flaps didn't solve the problem. Can some people with RA's chime in on whether they've significantly decreased the chipping?

I have the RA Mud Flaps...They help a little but don't solve the problem. After driving down a wet dirt rd, I could see exactly where the stones WOULD hit and you could tell by where the mud was that they def didnt solve anything.

It's so frustrating, my entire hood has chips all over it from rock spray from other cars. Honestly, I have never experienced anything like this with all the other Sh*ty cars I have had. I really wish there was something we could do about this like address a formal complaint to Mitsu including the bill for repainting our cars. So lame
