To fix this does the front bumper have to be removed? Does the car need to be put on a lift?

Had mine done today.... they reflashed the AWC as well (it was a TSB), so who knows about them looking at the ECU. I doubt they care, just want to get it done as quickly as possible so they can get paid . Took about 35 min total including the reflash.

And btw, yes I went back to stock.

^+1, I would like to know this as well. I am very meticulous when it comes to lining up couplers and getting the clamps perfectly straight and torqued down just right, so the last thing that I want is some lazy tech not taking the time that I do when doing stuff like this. I would greatly prefer it if the UICP does not have to be removed when doing this, so if anyone can confirm this, that would be great.

I had mine done a few days ago and the Mitsu tech said he worked around it. I checked the UICP and it wasnt moved at all.

They can't do that. I'd hire an attorney if it were me.

I'm not taking mine in. I don't have an intake, but I just don't want to deal with drama like that.

You can only get away with a drop-in filter and cat-back--I've never heard of anyone having a warranty issue with those. If you remove the air box or exhaust beyond cbe then you better swap them out when visiting the dealer or you'll lose the powertrain warranty (the rest of the warranty should remain intact).

It's too bad we keep having comments like that because I thought this was fairly common knowledge (this is the first sports-car that I've owned and I knew that).
