I actually test-drove an MR they had...liked it and sat down to talk numbers. They were very stubborn on price...so I called other area dealers. Anyways, what ends up happening is that I buy this same exact car at another dealer...for like 7k less! I'm very skeptical of lville mitsu, but I will give them a shot after reading your review...just hope they don't give me crap for buying the car from another dealer.

I can't say i would buy my next car from them. I believe i could have gotten a better price elsewhere (sticker for my car was 38k, they knocked it down to 34), but I have no issues with taking my car there for service. The 2 service writers, Mike and Rick, are pretty cool. Rick's a goofball, and has a 600+hp 2003ish terminator mustang.

This is my family's sixth Mitsubishi. I know all about voided warranties. Magnuson Moss is a pile of useless crap that people cling to on forums. You think an individual with an attorney is going to be able to take on a corporation that is prepared for this? I've seen friends with modded Evos get blacklisted.

Bottom line, if you have even a cat-back exhaust, you have increased the output of the engine, and you give Mitsubishi an out to void your drivetrain warranty. The warranty is meant for the stock power level, and if you increase it even a tiny bit, they can say the warranty was intended for stock power (it even says so in the manual). Engine, transmission, differentials, SAWC, forget having any warranty on that stuff if you show up with mods.

Now, will they cover your warranty for staples showing in your seats? If your air conditioner goes out? If one of your headlights fails? Sure. But that's not the stuff I am worried about. You do any hard parts, boost controller, tune, you need to concede to the fact your drivetrain warranty is cooked if you are caught, period.
while i dont fully agree with that, i can see your points.

i cant see someone using the excuse that the car was made for stock power..what if the 2010 evo X had a 15hp bump and thats it? everything else on the car would be the same of the 08 evo x? that argument wouldnt hold up to me..

it just seems rediculous to get your warranty voided over something so simple as an intake or axle back exhaust.

i wish mitsu were more like toyota, ive seen these tc kids with everything on their car and still under warranty..hell toyota will install a supercharger on the TCs and warrnty it..

I just had my return fuel line and AWC reflash done at Cornerstone Mitsubishi in Wilmington, MA. Although I unmarried my Cobb AP before I took it in, all my other mods were still on, and they didn't say anything.

As a matter of fact, they didn't even remove the UICP to install the fuel line.

Not yet but I will be going in tomorrow to talk to them about when it can be done. I know the mechanic (Javier) he should be able to get it done quick. I will let you know what they tell me.

I'm waiting to have the awc flash done, this won't effect my tune will it?
