Top Gear USA Episode 2 - Evo X
That scene was done twice in the British Version. They raced an Evo 6 with spike wheels vs. a bobsled and I believe Jeremy Clarkson raced two guys down a mountain as well. It seems forced but I guess it is because we know the British version so well. I hate the forced chemistry and dialog between the hosts.

LoL he like's to live his life on the dangerous side

I also noticed that Tanner is the only one speaking from experience and knowledge. Compared to other two jackass's who talk like they've been driving sports/performance car's for years

That one skinner white guy who drove that Lambo that hit 180 mph he was still shacking when he stepped out the car and HONESTLY did not know what that car had if he was that surprised.
I mean I'd be scared too cause it's a fckn 180mph but for your 1st time ever?! I think that show's you what kind of car enthusiast he is
I bet that's the 1st time he's ever gone over 100 mph or seen a Lambo in real life.
its sad how a car show has hosts that cant even drive... mr.mole couldnt even do a burnout and lumberjack cant even hold a donut. they need to ditch the 2 and get some better drivers and overall better hosts who knows about cars
Privet! I came to the US at the age of 12. Speech-wise, my Russian is pretty good, no accent, but a distinct lack of available vocabulary. Interestingly enough, when I watch the Russian TG I can understand everything that's said, but I couldn't repeat the phrasing if my life depended on it. I almost never get a chance to speak the language, though. It's been years.
that was a typo, was supposed to say older, not old
oh cmon you dont honestly think thats real... that was 100% stagged.
do u think the blind guy did the 180 into the boxes on first try either? probly took a entire hour.
It was staged, sure, but the outcome was pretty much guaranteed to be close because it is TANNER and those two other guys are either funny or butt-dumb, but neither are drivers.
EDIT: And yeah, it was lucky on the blind guys turn. Dang lucky. Listen to the nervous laugh Tanner makes. But it was lucky too that butt-dumb flannel shirt meth lab manager-in-training got. Freaking almost hit the wall too.

they could've at least gave it some options instead of being a base model, but that wouldn't fit their narrative of their story.

Overall this episode was much better than the 1st. I think Tanner is the best of the hosts even if he's kind of monotone. I was thinking Jay Leno might be a good addition to the cast to add some comedy. I know he owns a lot of cars, but not sure what his driving background is. The other 2 guys are just horrible.
When you watch the UK version everything seems natural where the US version is so scripted it isn't even funny. The problem of American TV is that everyone wants to be careful on what they say and not to tick off groups. If you watch the UK version, they absolutely ridicule the tree huggers every chance they get. That would not go over well here.

I did absolutely love the fact that Tanner is SO good at what he does, he could train a blind man to be a better driver than the other two amateurs in just a few hours of passenger seat coaching time. You don't get any more credibility in a car show than that IMO. I like his dry sense of humor. He's not got the verbal IQ of Clarkson, that's what I really am wanting for this US version, a bright flip irreverent master of the English language who happens to love flogging cars and has a little bit of a suicidal tendency to spice up the segments. So that's where we want History Channel to jettison Rutledge and find someone who has a brain, not just an ugly mug and a lot of (unearned) moxy.
