Forget it, you dont need leather or sunroof. Its not a exotic or luxury car.
I have a 11 gsr with sight, sound and spoiler pkg. those 3 you need. One the xenon lights are great, sound you want to listen to good music and spoiler the aero pkg that you need, more agressive and that is the reason you want it. Leather is nonsense on these cars and sunroof i had them all my life on all my cars and never opened it once. GL.

I have an 11 GSR with SSSL. In all honesty, I initially didn't want any option except for the HID lights. But after 3 years, I can say that I'm glad I have them. It also helps that I basically got the SSSL package for the same price as just the SS package so that was the main reason why I pulled the trigger.
The leather so far has shown absolutely no signs of wear (granted I clean and condition them often). I was actually surprised that I didn't slide around when taking corners; I think the side bolsters do a great job. On a side note, I have a 1 year old and cleaning the back seats is really easy with leather.
I have 20% tint on my car so when I see cops, I just open my sunroof to let in more light hahaha. (Assuming its a situation where I can't just open my front windows). Although I don't use it otherwise, I don't mind it anymore.

Another question that doesn't have one "correct" answer.
Because people are not all alike.
If you're buying a track day car, you don't need GPS, you don't want a sunroof, and you'd just sweat into the leather.
(And you probably don't need snow tires, either. )
But for a DD, you will likely want the amenities.
The airflow around the windows is as weird on the X as on my old VIII. The sunroof lets you play with the air supply without getting the side of your face blasted by wind.
(Again: not an issue if you're wearing a helmet. )
Leather holds up to "normal use" better than plastic, over the long run.
And, while I rarely use the GPS for directions, the 2014 has Nokia HERE live traffic congestion display, which I use all the time.
And I use the GPS as an MP3 music server every day.
The one thing I didn't like about the VIII was having to carry around a bunch of CDs.
On the X, I just put an SD flash in the user slot, and I have days of music.
So get the features you'll use.
That's why they're "options".

Love the sunroof and leather.
It's all up to you what you like. And how deep your pocket is.

My 11 GSR is probably the most basic model you can get. No nav, no sunroof, no sounds package, no HID headlights (even though I would have gotten this if I purchased new). All my previous cars had all the extras but I never really used them. Especially the sunroof. Don't really understand why people love sunroofs so much.
The only extra it came with are the fog lights which I am going to get rid of soon. I know it may be cliche to say this but I didn't buy the car for luxury. The car is a heavy pig to begin with. I couldn't imagine adding more weight to this car.
