yeah i was worried about that. It just takes a LONG time for it to warm up. If you go on a decent cruise (hr+) it does a lot better. But yeah, in this winter weather, you cant just start it and go. Takes a long time for the trans fluid to warm up

so do all dealers reflash your ECU to stock when they replace the CMC? I am about to take mine in and have an Accessport so I can just flash it again but just wondering.

I had the ECU reprogram on my invoice too but the dealer was kind enough to ask if the ECU has been tuned or not to override it. sketchy?? or really nice?

Do any of you know for sure what they're reflashing? For all I know, they're trying a new flash for the ACD/AYC pump.

They didn't reflash mine. But I told them I'm running E and not to.

just picked mine back up. Clutch had a lot of free play when I picked it up, but went back to normal by the time I got home. So far so good! I also declined to have the ECU reprogrammed. and if anyone wanted to research a little more the recall code is C1311W for the ECU one.

Ah, so it is ECU.

(The reflash prevents a SES/CEL/MIL when you get a tad more torque than planned, it seems.)

Just picked mine up too and was wondering about the free play
There's about an inch of free play then it feels very light and when you depress it grabs right there at the bottom. I dunno, so far I prefer how it felt before. Hopefully it will go back to normal tmr.

Same happened to me, ridiculous amount of free play. Took it back and they bled the fluid, I think there was air in my system. All was good after.

I think it stops the ACD pump from turning off when it inevitably craps out. It just makes the setting (Tarmac Gravel Snow) flash and the lines disappear, or so it seems so far.

Took my 2011 gsr to check if I had the cmc recall and I did, along with the ecu flash and then some small clamp that needs to be replaced in my headlight. I'm talking it in Wednesday and they said it'll all be done that day. So I hope if there's much of a difference it's for the better.

Dealer is being unreasonable to me. They won't co-operate. MMNA says I can get a refund but its not happening. I will not be manipulated by the Mitsubishi dealer. I will not seek re-imbursement. If there is an accident due to the failure of the CMC, I will hire an attorney to seek the persons responsible for failing to conduct recall in professional manner. Good day sirs.

Some of the above makes it sounds like you already replaced the CMC. (Why else would you be asking for reimbursement?) But other parts of the above make it sound like you still have the defective version of the part in your car. (Why else would you be going on about failure of the part and/or failure to conduct the recall.)

Which is it?

If you replaced it with another OE piece, then you're eligible for the recall, but not reimbursement. If you replaced it with some other piece, such as that from an 8 or 9, then you're eligible for reimbursement only if you replaced it in the last year or so.

Do you think this would be for the 08 version as well? I didn't read much of this thread but just wanted to ask.
