Just curious does anyone know if this recall work expires? I'm just trying to figure out why my dealership wants me to bring it in asap. It's hard to be to without a car during the week.

Just got my recall done today at Paramus Mitsubishi. They did a great job. Clutch engages almost in the same spot and feels a little bit firmer. I have to say, for a dealership, these guys are on the ball with this car. When I brought it in, the first thing they asked me is if I had a custom tune as they did have a new flash available, but did not want to overwrite my tune.

In addition, when I asked them who they recommended to do aftermarket work on the car, the service guy said "Take your car to Ivey Tune, they do a great job."

So thumbs up for Paramus Mitsubishi!

Recalls don't expire.

If they're saying that they want you to come in soon, they either don't have enough work to do or they want to practice the work on your car. Neither of these is a good sign.

I went in for my recall, and they did the work. But to be honest - I think they messed something up. I was not having any troubles with the clutch and now sometimes on normal starts, the clutch wont engage for a few moments. ...

Of course they want you in sooner rather than later...Mitsubishi pays them to perform the service. Just like how Walmart would rather you shop today than next week.

I know that…but I still disagree, a date makes no sense to me. Just because it is the minimum required by some government agency? Why? Mitsubishi could still do the right thing, but if they can get away with it; good for them.

They made a mistake and I paid for another defective part, I had the car towed and I was without the car for over a week…I just want a refund on the parts and labor and I believe that they should take responsibility and do the right thing.

To me this is just horrendous business practices, and something that I do not condole or do, so I don’t expect to be treated like that. (This is what I believe. I am completely aware that no one cares/ it doesn’t matter and it not going to change anything, but that is just my point of view on the issue)

Hopefully the dealership doesn't get all excited over my magnus Evo 9 CMC currently in my evo. Hey, its been there since 08 when my stock clutch gave out driving up a mountain.

I haven't received anything in the mail for my car. But, i just got it 3 weeks ago so i don't even have the title yet.. Should I take my car to a mitsubishi dealership and have them look into it? Or is there somewhere where I can find out off of my vin? Sorry if this has been talked about already. I'm at work and don't have time to read over all the pages. Thanks

You can just bring your car in; if you bought it from a Mitsu dealership they may have already taken care of it.

ah. yeah i didn't. But I do still have 9 months on the original warranty from the dealer the guy who had it before bought it from. I'll swing by a dealership this weekend and see what they have to say.

Took about 3 hours to have mine done. They probably had more than one tech working on it.

I'm going to take mine into Christopher's Mitsubishi in Denver. Hopefully they don't screw up! (they are a relatively new dealership) Wish me luck!

Took mine into Don Herring in Plano on Friday. They started that morning and was done by 3:00pm. Invoice had a new CMC, 5 bottles of mitsubishi dot 3, ECU reprogram, and some sticker that was replaced under recall. Great work! They even asked me if my car was modded because of the flash. Mod friendly dealership and great work. Very little difference in between the CMC. All I'm hoping for it that it will be strong enough to handle a twin disc clutch.

I've had this service done, and now my clutch does feel much better.

That being said, putting this car into gear is WAAAAYYYY too hard. My STI shifted like butter, I feel like I have to force this car into each gear.
