I think you and I spoke to the same person because she told me the exact same thing.

-But there is a new BS issue. It is an issue about the date…what? Why…some random BS about it was done this date the recall that date??? Uhmm what? On hold again…

-Now the date “appears” to be ok but everything needs to be submitted and reviewed…but who is this person that I am wasting my time talking to? They don’t know anything and cannot review or decide anything, but somehow they are finding issues after reviewing the invoice? On hold…

- Nevertheless there is another issue now….they can’t give me the refund until the recall is completed…I have to prove that the recall was done and I have to call again. Also after the recall is done they will “consider” a refund…LOL really???

So what I am guessing is: they will complete the recall…BUT the dealer will scrutinize the car and point out anything aftermarket, you know like lug nuts or a radio or tinted windows…therefore they will deny the refund.

Great job Mitsubishi Motors! I really don’t understand why this company is in trouble…

Yeah, if anyone has any explanation for this I'd like to know as well.

i notice during the initial drive ill get the soft press of the clutch but after awhile itll go away. i wonder if that has to do with bleeding the clutch or if it was even done.

Just wondering if the failure is a catostrophic thing or if it happens gradually. My clutch is slipping a little and the pedal lets out pretty high. I want to make sure it is the clutch going rather than just the beginning of the CMC failure.

I had mine done last week. My battery was NOT unhooked...unless there is a way to store all my stations and such...or unless my dealership took note and re-programmed all my stations. 5 miles put on the car, no change in my radio station programs, clutch felt..pretty much the same? Sort of made me wary of whether they actually did anything or not...

When mine failed it was a sudden failure. I didn't notice anything abnormal before the failure.

Failure is sudden. No warning.

The failure of the CMC is sudden and catastrophic. The pedal goes to the floor with a bang and won't return. All of the fluid in the clutch line gets dumped on firewall and ground. Ask me how I know this.

What you are describing sounds like a clutch that is reaching the end of it's life - at least the disc is.

This is probably your car relearning it's idle after the battery being unhooked.

Because the ability of some Mitsu techs to mess things up has no (known) upper limit, please try the following. While sitting still and idling (obviously), pump the brakes hard. Does this affect the idle? If it does, they may have made a mistake when hooking the booster back up.

YES!! It does. The tech said its because of my gauges mess up the electrical and I am "a unique situation!" and they refused to fix it because my car is not stock. Any more detail about that so I can take it to another dealership to get it fix??

Then they probably messed up the hose that connects the brake booster to the intake. Go back to the dealership (if you're a glutton for punishment) or fix it yourself.

You can start by just looking at it. Maybe it will be obvious. One mistake is installing the hose backwards. This can be very dangerous on a car with forced induction.

ps. I love the "your gauges are to blame"; that's classic CYA nonsense
