Quick question. Do they disconnect the battery when they do the CMC? I'm running E and need to make sure it doesn't switch to the 91 Map. Going in tomorrow.

Thanks.

Oh well I'm going to have to tell them not to touch the ECU then.

You can tell them anything you wish, but they'll still check for a reflash.

South Coast Mitsu I hear is Evo Mod friendly. If they really need to do that I won't take it. Friend is tuned on 91 and the tune is still there after he had it done.

My tune didn't change but my mileage A and B were zeroed out and blinker sound were reset to default sound. Current map is the same as when I brought it in for recall.

Yea when I had my recall cmc done they either disconnected my battery or checked for a flash. Because when I got my car back all my settings were gone back to default.

Wait when they "reset" is that like saying they're going to reflash my tuned ecu back to stock?!

I think they are just unhooking the battery.

Not yet. I've decided I'll wait until the warranty is over before doing anything else. As far as the intake goes, I installed the Cosworth drop-in air filter. I'm guessing he meant the UICP, though.

@ a few folks, above:

I didn't say that they'd unflash the ECU or flash it back to stock; I said that they'd check if the car had been flashed. Dealers have been under orders to do this for a year or so.

I had the CMC recall yesterday. I know many ppl already mentioned that the clutch feels a lot softer and engagement point is significantly lowered. My car felt the same yesterday.
Today I drove my car and engagement is still almost right off the floor. I don't mind having a lower engagement point but will this get back to normal as I put more miles on it? I read few ppl said their clutch went back to normal after driving a few miles. But considering that I drove almost 50miles after the new CMC install and it's still the same, should I take my car back to the dealership? Why does this happen? does this mean that the work wasn't performed properly?
I have this same concern. Picked my car up a while ago after getting the CMC recall and the clutch feels like this. The first top half there is nothing, as in no resistance. Engagement point is very low, much lower than before... Anyone else with any info?

I assume that the new CMC isn't adjustable, as the Magnus or some-other-vendor's kit is.

I got a letter in the mail about this, but is there a way to find out if mine is recalled? I tried that carfax vin number look up that is supposed to be free but it didn't do what it was supposed to.

I thought if you got the letter in the mail, it is because your car is one of the recalled ones?
