Evo X insurance costs for adults????
2015 gsr is $150 a month. I'm 26. Not so clean record.
Decided to keep my DD (Honda Civic) because it was only $50 more a month, $200 for both cars, and I was originally paying $70 per month for said DD..

Married, late 20's, clean record, $500 deductible on my 2010 X SE as required while still financed, wife's 2012 Elantra on same policy with same deductible, hers is financed too. Want to increase my deductible to $1,000 once finance period is up.
100/300 coverage in Philadelphia, just over $300/month with Liberty Mutual. Planning to shop around if rate doesn't drop on next annual renewal. Location is what keeps our rate high...
I was with Geico for a few months when I first got the car, rate was insane.

The Evo is not a 4 door economy car. It's 4 doors, yes. However, at least with USAA, engine displacement/number of doors/model, etc do not necessarily play a factor. They do no discern between a "sports" car and a "economy" car or penalize for V-8 vs I-4. As they explained to me, your location, driving record, and the statistics of the car (safety ratings, likelihood of theft, security features, etc) go into a formula and out comes your insurance premium. Location plays a big factor in the theft department, as does safety stats. Other people on your premium and their driving records plays a role too. My insurance on the 3 cars on my premium went down like $2 a month when I added my dad. Like credit, he had a longer history of good driving than I did despite my great driving record (1 ticket, no accidents in 14 years of driving). Other insurance companies may actually hike your rate based on perception of certain models, like an Evo or a SRT-8 Challenger or whatever, but at least with USAA, they do not, according to the rep I spoke with. Case in point, when I got rid of my 2006 Dodge Ram V-8 for a 2005 SRT-10 Ram with the Viper V10, my insurance stayed about the same per month, like within ~10-20 bucks IIRC.
28 Years old. No tickets or accidents clean record with SafeCo.
2008 Evo X with an additional $10k coverage on top to cover modifications, road side assistance, and rental car reimbursement I pay $128.86 per month on this guy right here

Shopping around always helps. Been with this company for a little over 2 years now. This is my 4th Evo I have owned in the last 10 years. Got my first one when I was 18 years old and paid around $320 a month on the very first one with Liberty Mutual then. I have since been with State Farm and Progressive as well. Each of them got cheaper than the previous one, but this was also probably because I was getting older and shopping around. If a company sees what you are currently paying they will try to beat the rate of your current provider to earn your business. I could have gotten even cheaper than what I pay now if I wanted, but I had requirements like the additional modification parts coverage. I learned the hard way with my 2nd Evo and Progressive screwing me over when my car was broken into and stripped. They wouldn't cover most of the aftermarket parts (Which is what were stolen) and ended up only payment me out 75% of what a stock Evo was worth after they totaled it out. I will never go back to Progressive after that.
