I just received my latest isssue of Road and Track and in it the have a preview of the Evo X and to me its a down grade from what the EVO has come to symbolized . Compared to the EVO III it looks like a new generation Celica, which is ugly to begin with plus the improvement in horse power is only 300 hp from 275 hp.

I personaly think the EVO III and the up coming EVO IV(which looks like an MR) are the best looking evos of all.
Which one do you think is the best?

 

Compare to the evo the wrx has a step on it in looks. Eventhough I hate to admit it.

 

So far VIII, but I really am fond of the picture of the new IX. It has all of the positive aspects of the VIII, plus a few more subtle desireable design features.

 

Yea not fond at all of the X, the IX is going to be nice. It is just going to look clean.

 

I just realized the Evo X concept looks like a focus.

 

Did anyone see the motor trend doe this month? They talk a little about .
They also have a drawing of the Evo X. It is based on the ugly one that looks like the love child of the new WRX concept and a whale. The drawing makes the car look a little better, maybe it is the wheels.

That isnt the pick from the new road and track. The pic from the new road and track looks a lot better and has a lot more detail.

 

Sorry, I did not buy the issue. I was reading it at the Grocery store.
I went to the Motor Tend web site, and could not find the picture.

Where the Evo X came from....

 

Geez, if they come out with something even half as fugly as that pic. I'm gonna have mueller commision me a "crash up derby" version and slam it into all those responsible!

 

Here's how hideous the new STi is going to look. The Evo X isn't half as ugly as this thing. The only thing uglier is the Pontiac Aztec. I looks like a new Legacy got messed up and had sex with an Alfa and this was the result nine months later.
