It just says that Mitsubishi isn't in as much trouble as people think and this is proof because they are planning this far ahead. It also said that they (R&T) took an image that they got from Mitsu. and cleaned it up to make this picture so that it would look more complete. They said that this will be an all new car with a new motor (about 300hp) and a new AWD system and it should be out some time around 2007.

 

of course mitsu isnt in that much trouble its huge not just mitsu motors.
and like whats been said and is in the article, its a concept, not a final set in stone ready to be manufactured version, im lookin forward to it

Yeah... The concept photos I saw at the dealership looked much better than that. It was supposed to be a 3 door hatch to conform with WRC standards And it was supposed to have body lines the somewhat resembled the 2G Eclipse... And the projected numbers were a bit more aplealing with 320BHP 300LB-FT TQ... The power increase is due to the MIVEC... At least that's what I read on the posters at the dealership... And yes, 2007... Each EVO runs for 2 years. To compensate for the 3 year run of the EVO 8, the EVO 9 is only going to be offered for one year (2006)... Anyway, that's what I've heard from the people at a local dealership...

 

7/8's will be the only ones to own. Glad i got mine now!!!

You are all right. I think its ugly too. It has the same lines on the doors as the Toyota Celica and the over all shape of the Neon. Thats a bad combo. I know a lot of you are graphic design guys. I think that some of you should come up with your own designs and then we can vote on the best look. What do you think about that? Mitsu. would be dumb to ignore there taget audience.

 

See here's the thing. A lot of these sketches were originally sourced from some Japanese magazines with about the equivalent reliability I'd give to National Enquirer. I'm curious what Mitsu and Subaru REALLY have planned. I don't see any reason why they'd go out of their ways to put out these sketches of 2007 models when we haven't really seen crap about 06. Most of the Subaru sketches look like 05 STi's on crack supplied by photoshoppers.

I'll believe these things are going to come out looking like that when I see it on Mitsu and Subaru's actual sites.

That is the most hideous looking front end I've ever seen. Someone needs to shoot both the Mitsu and Subi designers. What the hell were they smoking?!?!?!
