Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
We'll see a lot more versions of the car just like the WRX is doing now.
Cheaper 260hp version to compette with regular wrx.
A 276hp version that costs and performs like we have now(30-35k)
300hp super version just shy of 40k.
Mistu is going to squeeze every nickle from every platform.
They have to to survive

anyone can say what they want about previous versions, the X looks badass and when it comes out im sure plenty of people will be at the dealerships trying to buy it and justify whatever design "evolution" mitsubishi decided to make. In the end of the day, we all know that we really shouldn't care what the car looks like, it always ends up growing on everyone, the real issue is whether the car evolved fromt he previous platform. This being does car perform any better than its predecessors? I think that the X is very well positionned so far from the specs to do that.
To the people complaining about GM stealing "the Skylines" tail lights, perhaps you should consider the design itself dates much further back to GM's own Corvette....
If anything Nissan borrowed it from GM, and you can trust me when I say that the design cues of the Impala and Cobalt were based off Corvette elements...
Back on topic, love the new 10. I assume it will be too expensive for me to own though. I will say this though, this weekend during MOD at the Mitsu Normal plant I noticed some workers had pictures of the new 10 on a cork board to the side of the assembly line. Not trying to infer that I think they might make the 10 here, just sharing that even Mitsu's employees are interested in the newest version of the Evo.

PS just an off topic hypothesis. On the pics of the X there is an inlet on the hood that leads close to the firewall. Isnt that where the turbo on the srt4 is located. Maybe same technology or engine?
Hey I was reading the Auto Week article on the EVO X and I MUST have read something incorrectly. It seemed to say that there is no manual version of the EVO X available. It will just be an automatic with tiptronics. (shift paddles) I of course misunderstood correct? Im sure Mitsu wouldnt come out with a car that you cant get a manual version of?
