From what I've seen about the GEMA engines so far, the cylinder head and block castings for the 2.4 and the 2.0 are the same. So if Mitsubishi chose to build an Evo spec version of the 2.4 they could, very easily, just as Chrysler is doing for the 300hp turbo Dodge application.
So far, Mitsubishi hasn't chosen to do that for the Evo X, but I am saying they should. Otherwise they are just throwing away cubic inches, and for what? I don't see where it gains them anything to base their high output turbo engine for the US market on the 2 liter rather than on the 2.4 liter.

I wonder if this could be an MR edition. The roof has a simular structure as the mr aluminum one.

Because there wasn't a market for them prior to say 1998-99

NNNNOOOooooooooooo!!!!!! WTF That is like Subarus... I wonder if they will have a semi closed deck like the STI's too. I will never buy a X. When ever I buy another EVO it will be the IX.

Most or all BMW's are aluminum blocks aren't they? What's the problem durability? It will cool faster and be lighter...
