Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
Definitely impressive, I'm glad they delivered on 90% of the original concept. There's no quesiton that theyre bringing the car upmarket so it will interesting to see where the pricepoint ends up. My main concern is whether or not the car's feel is going to be dulled by the mass market transition.
I'm still not too happy about the new block but a Chyrsler/Mitsu collaboration did bring us the the 4G63.

I really like the HVAC controls, instrument cluster, steering wheel controls, interior ambient lighting, cross drilled rotors, etc. Over all I think the interior of the X looks much better than the IX. It also looks much better than the original pictures which I hated.
I dont like the turbo in the back of the engine, auto trans, having a new unproven engine, the fact that there will be a lot less aftermarket support for a little while. Also I think I like the seats but I like my IX seats better. I wish there were some pics of the rear because in the 1st pics I hated the tail lights so I am not sure if I will like the final product or not. I also still think the price might go too high on these with all the new add ons.
Overall, I like it a lot better than the original pics but for now I am glad I got my IX because I wouldnt buy the X just yet.

Only a few things in those pics I think will not make it too production. The tire sidewalls are too thin...I'm betting those are 19" wheels. We will probly see 17's, maybe 18's. The cross drilled rotors won't make it to production cause Mitsu won't cover cracked rotors from every jackhole slamming on his breaks. And finally I really doubt we will see any type of suede (faux or otherwise) on the dash. It'll be plastics again.
But that's just my opinion...I still love the car.

Interior is a bit too futuristic for me, and the front grill and bumper are not the best fit for the body. The new wing is a bit different, smaller may look less ricey.
Hopefully the engine doesnt have a bunch of problems like some engines do upon thier introduction.

If thats the final product and it will be avalible in a regular 5 speed manual, then i will most def. consider buying one...It reallly is growing on me and i like the final product a lot! It looks like the lifted the front nose a little instead of just letting it tapper off and then drop.
