Why not make an automatic? It's going to make more money for any car company. If there is an auto version of any sports car that would mean more people will buy it. It's simple economics.
Standard automatics, DSG, SMG, CVT or whatever version of a sports car are becoming just as fast or faster than the primitive standard trans. With equal drivers in both cars it is likely that a properly calibrated auto, DSG and the other ones will be faster than manual. Take the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Infinite G35 coupe as examples. does anyone have any idea what the three toggles are for on the center console in-font of the e brake handle and that one toggle behind the shifter next to that mysterious square box.
i like the idea of quicker shifts but i just think i would feel funny and out of place. just wouldn't feel right. really hard to get used to
