Good point, i've no doubt the interior will rock. There's a good chance they will include nav with the 6speed because of the integrated sawc monitoring. Some current cars like the Subaru Legacy GT you can only get a nav with auto. Lame.

Unless you get the Legacy B4. It is a stick with nav. I was considering one for a little while and thought it was odd it was the only way to get nav with a stick in that car.

e.g:

-Lets say all dealers are trying to make $3,000 on each EvoX they sell.

-We call 5 of the most local dealers for the 5 people in the group buy and tell each of them the situation.

-Now each dealer can get back to us with how much they are willing to chop off the $3,000 to sell 5 of them in one clip.

-If the cars are in high demand they will be marked up high above msrp and thus the dealers will be flexible with how much they come down off of markup (even though it wont be THAT much in this case.)

-If the cars aren't in high demand...say the following spring of their release...the dealers should be more than willing to move them off the lot at 1/2 the markup they are willing to charge for selling one.

only works if they have a high inventory, i.e. definately won't work for at least a year.
much more possible in heavy mitsu dealer density area's like L.A., but would never work in area's where there are no other dealers for hundreds of miles.

I wouldn't pay 4-5 grand over for an X, but I wouldn't quibble about MSRP if I really wanted the car.

I think you could probably set up a group buy for a car like you describe. Maybe you should make a thread where people who are going to buy an evo X can join forces with other local buyers. At the very least it is worth a try

On the good side of that, the value of our used VIIIs and IXs will go up or stay high just like many older turbo performance cars like the Supra, 300ZX TT, GSX Eclipse, etc, etc....
Actually, it is a paddle shift(SMG) transmission like on a Ferrari.

It would be sweet if they incorporate something along the lines of what the Skyline R34 had that displays G, boost, temps, and so on into the display.

I'm very excited to see what it will be when finished. Especially since I'll be about ready for a new car when it's released.

Nope, it's a DSG system like on the GTI. DSG systems employs two clutches, so in reality it is a manual with an automatic mode.

Outlander looks awesome. The interior impresses the hell out of me.
I hope the X gets those nice features. Shifter paddles, S-AWC, nav and nice interior. Everything I could ever want in an Evo.

Shifter paddels are an option - NOT standard!
