the iron block is gone for the evo
it would be such a waste of money on mitsu's part to have two different types

I wish they had left the front bumper piece color coded with the rest of the car, same with the rear lower bumper piece .... it looks weird ...

The insideline article claims that the car will only be Lancer Evolution here and that it was never known as the "VIII" or "IX" in the US. Weird. I guess they don't take into account people's floormats and manuals - unless you have an MR.

I have some concerns about the aluminum block being able to withstand 500+hp, but from everything I've read about the X, Mitsu seems to be swearing up and down that the aluminum block will handle plenty of abuse.

As for the iron 4g63 blocks...isn't Shepherd cracking them in half in his DSM?

Things tend to break when your at 800+whp reguardless my friend

If you design the block properly, aluminum will not be the problem.
