Who knows how the evo x will turn out to be, until we see it finalized....Its hard to believe with mitsu experience and success with the current and past evos that they will mess up on this one. Im thinkin the evo x will probably even surpass the evos in the past, with better power and style.....

 

Anything less then 300hp would make the Evo X a joke.

 

If the X ends up looking close to this, id consider buying it if the power end can hold up to the looks. It seems they are trying to bring more luxery into the evo, which is a good thing. Most of the people who have driven the evo and the sti would preffer the sti for a daily driver. Simply because its more of a luxery vehicle than the race car feel of the evo.

Now that the new STi's are out and increadibly ugly, i think mitsu has even a greater chance to steal some more customers from them if they can pull the X off...

He said wheel horsepower. If the Evo X had 300whp, that would be amazing, since that would put it at close to 360 to the crank, which is more than all of the current FQ models except the super-rare FQ400...

300whp is a bit too high, i would think around 275whp, is what it would make on a dynojet.

 

yaah the evo has increased about 10bhp each model, but with the next sti being a hatch (lighter=faster) it might increase power a little bit higher to keeps its edge on it, yah im gonna guess around 275whp maybe a lil less maybe a lil more

 

Yeah I don't think that it will be over 300hp, as you can see i was very disappointed by how Mitsubishi was claiming 300+ b4 they released the EVO IX. Now look at where it is at.

 

300WHP is a bit too optimistic, it's possible that Mitsubishi could release a special model that might make 300WHP, but I have my doubts on the base EVO X GSR (or whatever it will be called) being first introduced with 300WHP. I'm thinking 275-280WHP, which would put it well over 300 flywheel horsepower.
