Mann....the Evo X looks hella ugly....wat hell did they do to the whole damn design....i kno its a concept look...but first of all it looks plain and wats wit the side view....it looks like an srt-4...dats wack...im dissapointed of the design of the X...IX is the last good looking EVO standing...after dat prepare to see some dissapointing designs!!! Even the official lancer concept looks way better than the evo X!! The person who designed the X must have been a ***!!

If you read my first post: From motor Trend "We have seen with our own eyes"
Evo X--that's what it'll always be to us--won't appear until 2007. But here's what we know. Renderings making the rounds on various Evo Web sites are close to the actual digital prototype body we've seen with our own eyes (along with a bad-to-the-bone Evo IX wagon concept). The main differences are the absence of hood louvers and the side glass tumblehome is more vertical on the working model. The gaping fish-mouth grille bisected by a thin bumper (as on the Audi A6 or VW Jetta) is real, but still a topic of debate.
RALLY ON ///////////
The development for this car was done years ago. They've always dumped copious amounts of cash into Evo development, even when other stuff was cut back. I would try to have a little more faith and wait till the car is actually released before passing judgment.
If Mitsubishi has money for R&D for a electric Evo and Eclipse then Im pretty sure the Evo X is gonna be alright....By the way, all the versions of the Evo were never really "pretty looking"

The Vauxhall Astra will have some serious competition in the C-segment style stakes from 2007 if this new Mitsubishi concept is anything to go by. Concept Sportback will get its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September, and its dynamic lines preview the dynamic look of Mitsubishi痴 next Lancer, which goes on sale as a Focus-rivalling five-door hatchback in 2007.
The Lancer sits on an all-new platform that Mitsubishi claims is flexible enough to spawn a range of models over the next few years, including a replacement for the road-biased four-wheel drive Outlander. This computer-generated teaser image follows a pair of sketches issued last month and reveals the aggressive face of the new Lancer, which will be the first public appearance of Mitsubishi痴 future design direction following its split from former ally DaimlerChrysler
It follows the current fashion of a gaping mouth dominating the front-end, flanked by neat slit headlights, with a wedge-like profile rising to the high-shouldered rear end. The sketches of the tail released last month show a diffuser-style rear bumper with twin exhausts contrasting with Nissan Murano-style crossover styling cues. As with the transition from CZ2 concept to new Colt, expect the bulging arches and aggressive aerodynamic tweaks to be toned down for the road car.
Performance fans will be pleased to hear that the legendary Evolution name will return on the next Lancer. A concept version of the tenth incarnation of the four-wheel drive rally-bred saloon will be unveiled alongside the new Outlander at the Tokyo motor show in October.

I like the concept drawing of the 5dr Lancer. If Mitsu turns around and pulls a Suby AWD campaign war this whole thing would be even better.
I know I've sed my piece about the X already but now that I read some of the posts I'll take it back and wait to see what the final final product is. I won't be getting the X tho because i also believe the 4G63 Evo Series is the originator.
Sequels don't always match up.
