its interesting a big change, which is rarely welcome, hopefully the can take some of the cues from this that are good, and mix it with what we all love about the evo

Mitsu will sell at least twice as much Evo's if the remain true to the concept....whether you like it or not...Good move for an ailing company!

I agree, the Concept X would be the best looking EVO yet. If the handling, weight and power are close to the rumors, I'll be getting one as my daily driver. I must say, this new AWD system and suspension sound very enticing.

Looks like we have about 18 months to speculate on buying it or not.
Thanks for the information!

S-awc

"The Evolution X will boast Super All Wheel Control, the next step forward in Mitsubishi's all-wheel-drive layout. S-AWC integrates with the existing 4wd three-differential and Super Active Yaw Control layout found on the the Evo IX, adding active brake control, acctive steering control and roll-control suspension into the equation. The comprehensive dynamic-control system processes thousands of inputs to offer the best possible characteristics in the pursuit of high performance. The Evolution X will stick with the Brembo braking system, but expect new multi-piston calipers all around and larger diameter rotors."

We wish...lol

For the folks that bemoan the EVOs move from its squarish past to a more aerodynamic, rounded shape... comes this depiction of the natural evolution of the series. (I say what the heck, as long as it still performs...lol)

I don't know, I guess the X is growing on me, especially after seeing some of these photochopped modified ones. I'm seeing the potential and it looks very good. I think people are a little to hasty when they say that the engine potential won't be there. I didn't think that the difference between the VIII and IX would be as dramatic as it has been and you know what Mitsubishi still got it right. I would think that the X may even have more potential when all is said and done, then again, who knows until it actually comes out. If it does come out as a 2007 model, which I highly doubt, the IX will become an instant classic in my opinion.

With over 300 horsepower, the Evo X will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged MIVEC 2.0-liter engine, mated to a six-speed clutchless transmission. Other features include steering-wheel paddle-shift controls, and an improved AWD system.
