Nobody is denying that this concept is a very early pre-production prototype, but everything is "subject to change" !

did you even read the notes? its and automatic with paddle shifters.. you shift on the steering wheel.. there are little shifter things coming from the center of the steering wheel.. its supposed to shift faster then the manual or so they are claiming.

dunno...but I still prefer the looks of evo6-9 over this one. The interior on this looks great tho. Love those rear seats.

Yeah I have mixed feeling also about the Paddle shifters... I know it can probably out shift me, but I love manual shifting.

I'm liking it a LOT! Understandably there will be some changes to the production model, but at least the interior is getting better. As much as I would love to have those back seats, I highly doubt they'll make it to the production model. But I wish they would.

The guage cluster is looking much nicer. and paddle shifters ROCK!

I do miss the blistered fenders instead of the larger wheelarches in this one.

Whoever did the photochops, nice work. Since I've got a tarmac black VIII, I gotta say the photochop of the black one with gold rims is NICE!

I've been debating trading up to a IX, but this concept makes me think I'll wait to see how the X pans out. Definitely liking this better.

+1. Also, the rear 3/4 of the car looks just like a new Mustang minus the wing... Not too crazy about that.

Thanks... I really wasn't sure how people would like the gold rims, but I couldn't help myself.

I had paddle shifters in my 2002 SMG M3 and I miss it. This system will be better than the M3s. One great thing is you can shift as hard as you want, at redline with the gas floored, and the system slams you into the next gear in the blink of an eye, often chirping the tires in the M3 from 2nd-3rd at 60 MPH. Downshifts during hard driving are perfectly rev-matched for you as long as you don't lift the throttle, so no engine braking and unbalancing of the car through turns.

Also, we can shift the car as hard as we want and Mitsu will have to foot the bill if the tranny/clutch fails because it's their system controlling it. BMW replaced my driveshaft which cracked from hard 8000 rpm SMG shifts, no questions asked. It wasn't my fault, the tranny computer did it to it.

I though we had some active steering gizmo in our current Evo's. I'm not sure what it does. I'm more curious about this:

Working in concert with Mitsubishi Motors' "Roll Control Suspension" technology, this design delivers very high levels of ride and road holding.
Does this just mean swaybars, or is there something cool that they are developing?
