all connectors are pluged in snug, what i believe is the with the navi i guess from a 2008 they didnt have bluetooth integration on the car, which leads me to believe my 2011 BT isint compatible since there is no software to integrate it

Ill ask my local Mitsu dealership when I have time but maybe updating it would help I dont know
or find a module of some sort.

Anyone else got any ideas or solutions? I really wanna use my BT Lol

I have an 08 nav and added bt and radio controls on the steering wheel soon afterwards that came from Australia, everything worked all plug and play.

What I think u need to do is get bt from an 08 evo and try that since your nav is from an 08. If u don't want to do that I suggest selling the 08 nav and get a nav from a 2011 and I bet that that will work

Nice! Was the sound quality the same as your original head unit?

Couple of questions:

1. What is the silver box to the right of the blower fan? You can see it in picture 5 onward when the glove box is down. It's apparently optional - my SE doesn't have it.

2. Are the screws that hold the head head unit bracket to the dash the same size as those that hold the GPS antenna in place?

I am installing a Nav system in my SE and I am missing the screws (bought it used).

Thanks!

I'd like to install an Aftermarket Double Din NAV in my GSR 09

Do a need all these parts:?

- Nav install kit around 500$
- Double din Pioneer around 500$
- Some sort of wheel control for sound to install on the side of the steering wheel
- Back up camera 150$
- Microphone to use hands free calls with Bluetooth.

is that it?

Do you need to pass a cable from the back-up camera to the Head unit? (or this
wire is Pre-wire from Mitsubishi) ?

same question for the microphone in the light near the interior mirror ?

thanks guys

Your questions depend on what you want, do you need it all, no, do you want it all, then yes.

I cannot answer the other questions for certain. I would assume you would need to run most of those components as typically they are on a long uncut harness. Easy way to find out - Look up the factory replacement part and see if it has long wiring attached to it or not.

Hope this thread isnt dead
I noticed this thread started years and years ago but was hoping to get an update on some information. I was wondering if you could possibly post pictures or a more in-depth step-by-step instruction guide to installing the GPS antenna.

Also could you explain what that other square metal box is next to the GPS antenna and how to install that as well?
