HOW TO: Install factory Navigation into a NON-NAV Evo 10
the gps antenna is installed inbetween the navi unit itself and the dash. once you remove the old unit out you would have to kinda "peak" into the hole and look up. once installed it will look like its "suspended" in mid air.
Hey guys,
I just installed a used MMCS (#8750A238) N-05 version from an outlander sport 2011 in my 2012 Lancer SE AWC with the install kit MZ360344EX.
Very easy install with step by step instructions found in this thread.
Everything works great except for 1 thing:
When I look in the hidden menu under network connections it is showing this : TMC Antenna = N/A
Am I missing a wire/antenna/some kind of connector?
I see the RTT icon on my Nav screen and when I click on it, it says No Current Traffic Messages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like it is only available in the European version although you can buy the antenna for it. http://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mit...us-mmcs-30447/
I just installed my navigation this afternoon.. everything seems to be working great except for the volume/power to the speakers. Has anyone else encountered this? I took some pictures of the connections if anyone thinks it would help to see them.
I have not had this problem...
Make sure the harnesses are all connected properly, some of them need to be pushed in real good before you hear the ''click''
Other than that I don't know what to tell ya...

So I took my car to TAS Electronics today..
Without ripping it out and looking at the connections, I was told that it is possible the stock (old) radio had a built in amp (or something that functioned as an amp) which gave power to the speakers. They are under the impression that the navigation unit is in need of a separate amp and a T-Harness in order for me to hear sound. I was under the assumption that this was just a plug and play installation. Can anyone let me know if there is something I am doing wrong or something I should be telling the electronic tech.
Thanks

It IS a plug and play installation! I assume that you pulled the old radio out and plugged the NAV in using the factory harness and following the instructions at the beginning of this post.
1. Check that your connections between the car harness and the NAV harness are tight and also check the NAV harness to NAV connections.
2. Check that you didn't pull a wire out of one of the connectors or broke a pin. These connectors are not that easy to fully engage - they take a bit of force.
3. Do you know anyone else how has a NAV that you can swap in and check?
4. Did you get your NAV used or new? It may be bad.
Good luck and keep us posted.

So today I was driving along and my sound started playing. While driving I checked the radio, CD, navigation, menu beeps, etc. Everything was working perfectly fine. So when I get home I decide to turn the car off and then back on to see if it was a fluke. Now I am without sound again... I've checked the connections countless times and I just cannot figure this out.
Just snagged a N-05 from a 2011 outlander off ebay for 330 shipped and the MZ360344EX install kit for 360 shipped. Can't wait to install. I think I may do a backup camera at the same time since I'll have everything opened up.
