The only reason i have an evo is b/c ive wanted one ever since i saw 1 in a video game a long time ago. my parents helped me get a loan and im working 6 days a week on 6 hr shifts plus school, so im working my *** off for this car lol, but i think its worth it.(plus all the female attention i get is pretty cool

No need to age discriminate on who can "handle" an Evo. But... feel free to discriminate on who can "responsibly" drive an Evo, Insurance Companies do.

Ok.. Really pay attention now.. this is very important -

The handling of an Evo is flat out amazing but they are not invulnerable and you dont want to find the limit on the street or your Evo will end up totaled in a ditch (hopefully you and your friends wont be killed if you dont heed this important warning). Really.. some may think I'm being too serious here, but I've seen so many totaled Evo pictures and you can tell exactly what caused 90% of them, pushing the limits on the street.

Do get used to drving your car normally.

Do use the search button on EvoM

Do go to a HPDE event with your Evo.

Do search what mods your going to install when your ready.

Dont waste money on BOV's or Turbo timers.

Dont take your car to the dealer for warranty with aftermarket parts installed.

Dont be shocked when you get your insurance bill.. I can't imagine rates for a 16yr old Evo driver.

Why no turbo timer?

dont be a fool, wrap your tool!! oh yea, stay in school! and +1 on the insurance... that is if youre paying for the car and insurance and maintenance all by yourself...

i agree with what these guys are saying....Im only 20 myself, but get a good feel for the evo before you start modding it,stock evos have plenty of power.

also,u are starting off really well by getting on forums and trying to learn...even though there are a 1000 people on here that will flame you 10 will help you out

biggest advice i can give you is do not mod and do not be out there thinking ur a bad ***.

i mean u r a badass for having an evo at ur age but ur gonna crash it if u constantly show off to ur friends and kids who have a beatup mustang (or get pulled over and ticketed til ur parents take the car way haha)

learn to ignore the jeolous kids who r going to hassle you and be cautious w/ ur driving and u'll be ok

First things first. Don't start our your threads and posts with "I'm 16". Nobody cares about your age, just say you have an Evo. You are just drawing attention to yourself and will start a ***** fest about young kids with Evos. Good luck.

Yo bro i agree, be the age of 17 i wrecked 2 cars, a 96 civic EJ8 and a 99 nissan altima gxe....you defintely got alot goin for yourself and this car. use it to your advantage, i dont mean race it. I mean with this car alone you get alot of respect and alot of people dont see you so much as a kid anymore. Like my friend is 17 and drive a mercedez 2003 E55 amg...people dont treat him like a lil kid he gets the grown up treament that's what u should be looking for not the cool factor. Show responsibility and maturity. No one here is saying they know u and that you're irresponsible just giving you a heads up friends can be bad influences alot of the time. Dont let the pressure get to you.

What else can i say but enjoy the ride and post of pics..this thread's worthless without pics.

90% of the people that ***** about you being young are jealous, 10% are worried about you because they were dip****s when they were 16...

my first car was an evo... im on my second one now (no i didnt wreck the first one) as long as you get to know the car well before you mod it you'll be great.

its not time to mod until you find yourself with the peddle on the carpet going "DAMNIT CAR FASTER" until you get to that point... leave it stock
