I know its probably been said 1000000 times already but you don't need any mods. If anything you should get a boost controller and turn the boost down to 3 psi. Your main goal right now should be not to die... and more IMPORTANTLY not to kill any innocent people driving your Evo like an idiot. I know I'm being an *** but we have all seen it too many times on the forums when some young kid in an Evo or Sti kills themselves, their passengers, some innocent people in another car, or all of the above. The cars abilities (in stock form) will far exceed your own for a long time and probably for the rest of your life. Oh yea, welcome to the forums.

like everyone else said stay stock, go do an HPDE or autoX and be safe.
Smart kid!!! I forgot to mention learning at the Auto-X instead of in the mountains. I'm only 22 but I have had TONS of experience with being an idiot with cars when I was in high school/ university. I nearly killed me and my roomate (we were both 100% fine but were LUCKY AS HELL) in college and he did the same to me a few months earlier. You lose control at the Auto-X, all you can kill is cones- and cones are invincible hahaha.

lol... can't say I didn't see that comin'. You've learned 2 important lessons here:
1. Dont reveal that your a young, new evo owner considering a BOV first
2. If you do violate precept number 1, you will have one of the longest and most successful threads on the forum only rivaling the "count backwards" thread. Hahaha.

Please just be responsible and do all you can to keep the name of EVO owners a good one.

Nice last words kid. You don't think all those morons who kill themselves OR their best friends don't think the same way?

be careful. at 16 all i wanted was a big truck and i had a little one. didn't get to wantting an evo until i was 18 in (2000 before they were available in the US) finally got one @ 24 and after having it about a year i reallize now that i would have handled an Evo about as well as a good prostitute at that age, i would have killed myself!!!

*edit* i have also realized that this car (+ some mods) is more than i can legitametly handle

You can be 16 and still be able to handle an Evo...but I'm not saying all 16yrs old can...Some are born to drive, some learn to drive, and some can't drive worth a damn!! I guess I was lucky..Good driving requires good vision, preception, reaction, judgement, awareness and skills..and occasionally luck which is 5%
If you feel, or know that you're not that good at driving then maybe the track might be better for you... then again the track is no street...just use your judgement.

ey man i got my evo before my permit to drive! kinda weird eh?...but anyways im ONE of those peeps who did all the coolest thing ever to a evo at age 16 and trust me you wouldn't have beat me if you tried. I spent money on stupid Sh!et and i regret it all, but im glad it wasnt performance mods well other than the Turbo XS RFL bov hahaha, but other than that i really wasted money on stereo stuff. So to be on your safe side please dont do anything until you are educated to know whats the best thing to buy for your evo for the bang of the bucks. Just trust me on this please!...
