I mean yea we raced kepy our reps up on the streets or the tracks i mean were young.. thats what we did but surprisingly i was the only one to wreck and why!?!?! because some girl cut me of when i was on an access road i was driving normally , ironic eh?,ya there was no where to go so it was totaled. Got bite by the evo bug and bought a brand new evo 9 my senior year in hs and been wrenching on it ever since , i drive under the speed limit in it im like a grandpa ... at 18. Alota ppl stero type o bla bla he's 16 he'll wreck well partially true alot of people do wreck cars at 16 but you know what helps being responsible don't wreck it keep it learn then upgrade the crap outa it when you've mastered it stock.
Good to know you had to keep your rep up. LOL

Oh kids these days, always pushing people's buttons. Now then, logically, why would other people be jealous? They have an evo (or a different car they enjoy), they have a job that doesn't involve asking "do you want fries with that?", they own their house/property, a lot have wives/significant others, etc., why would they be jealous of a 16 year old kid?

Hahaha and you think that equates to jealousy? Oh my young friend you have a lot of growing up to do. I would gladly take my evo-less childhood over one with an evo since my parents actually acted like parents, not walking cash machines.

Funnily enough personality more than made up for what you drove (or didn't drive) when I was in high school.

Look at my post, I'm 19, that would make me a year older than you, I'm sure that doesn't qualify me for the "older" crowd you're speaking of. Trust me my parents could afford to buy me an Evo too, in fact they almost did. Congratulations, so you work at a family business, but you had to work really hard to get that high paying job. And for the love of God people, GRAMMAR! It's not that hard to spell out words, and use the correct words. Half the kids on this board talk like 12 year old girls. And very good on the name calling, that's the type of maturity that makes us question why in the hell someone like you should be behind the wheel of a car like that.

Because my guess is, it's mommy and daddy's. I'm interested in hearing what you do at 17 that pays for the car, gas, insurance (which is the highest on these cars) and then left over money for a 5k + turbo kit. I'm 19, work my *** off on top of school, and can BARLEY afford my RA.

Sorry if this offends anyone other than the poster, but I can't stand cocky kids my age or younger that mistake their parents money for their own.
im 17 and i afford it just fine working 40 hours a week while going to school. its just about finding a good paying job. also in a trade school for automotive. so i konw alot about my car. not only that there is something called savings which u can try to put some money in there every pay check if u have one and then u can save up for that turbo kit or w.e u want. mine will be on its way soon dont let people bring u down on the forums just have fun drive safe and enjoy the ride!!

Wow saving money on every paycheck what a novel idea. Since you know so much about savings im sure you also have funds in money market accounts and have started a 401K with the company match already. I'm sure your also milking your benefits at your good paying job. You see buddy, its not about the envy which you kids try to portray we had when we were younger. Its about trying to make the right decisions. I'm sure the information will be expunged from your memory after you read this but again the only thing you will retain from this experience is your exacerbated attitude toward everyone older than you.

I am so glad another thread devolved into the minimum age requirement for an Evo. Thank god, I was worried there for a few days.
