Buy a slower car, wait on the evo until college.

If you think stock is already fast. That right there should tell you not to start modding yet. Get used to the power and the car before you do anything to it. Good luck, be safe, and have fun. Thank your parents everyday because you're very lucky. O yea, when I was 16, I was still catching the bus to school. LOL

You guys are all idiots.. At 16.. buying an 03 evo at 16 is very possible.. He could of gotten it for anywhere from like 17k-19k.. which is not hard to see at the age of 16.. you guys dont complain when little rich kids get a 30k mercades when there 16.. he has n older evo! Relax.

I was 16 when i got my first evo, and of course i wrecked it.. stupid decisions at a young age.. take my advice.. hold out on the mods for a few months.. learn the car, dont do anything stupid in the car, with or without people in it.

Most of us didn't mention price.

A rich kid with a 30k Benz, fine, at least he's still driving a slower car. We're just saying that at 16 an evo is probably too much car to handle, no matter how much experience he thinks he has. Don't want him to end up wrecking a perfectly fine evo.

Im sorry but, spending 30k on a bez, bmw, any higher class car regardless is going to be fast. Evos arent some supercar that everyone make them out to be.. Its just how people handle them is all.. If the kids mature i say why not? Evos a great car to learn to drive on..

reset

by taking out the battery terminals this resets the ecu right? Does this also take your boost levels back to the stock level psi???I disconnected terminals the other day and i seem to be boosting lower than normal. from 22 psi to 12psi. Could it be loose hoses?

I don't like to get into the age thing too much but I know retarted people that let the power get to them and they put them into guard rails and trash em. Just be careful and don't listen to your friends.
+1

Pretty strong words for a 17 year old to a bunch of guys who have worked hard to afford their car, and probably know it much more than you do. My guess is, if you are 17, driving an Evo, and have the money for a turbo kit, it's not really your money. Post all you want, but be careful saying if YOU have the money. Because my guess is, it's mommy and daddy's. I'm interested in hearing what you do at 17 that pays for the car, gas, insurance (which is the highest on these cars) and then left over money for a 5k + turbo kit. I'm 19, work my *** off on top of school, and can BARLEY afford my RA.

Sorry if this offends anyone other than the poster, but I can't stand cocky kids my age or younger that mistake their parents money for their own.
