Get a normal SE.
It has the stronger transmission and all the benefits of the MR. (bilsteins Alum roof.)

If you're not a drag racer/road racer, the 6 speed is really nice to use though

I presently own a JDM 06 MR which has nominal differences when I compared it to my friend's JDM 05 GSR.
Actually I had the notion that only the JDM MR's came with the crappy Magnesium turbo which turned out to be false as my friend's 05 GSR turbo got broken. Upon removing, HOLA, it had the GOLD WHEELS which we had to replace.

The differences which I've seen is as follows:

Seats: MR comes with red stitching
Suspension: Looks like the same shocks but my MR has RED Eibach springs from factory, car is still high no hell, needs to be lowered
Front Lip has a total different design which everybody replaces here, even my friend replaced his the on GSR...

Thats the obvious differences, if you guys can shed some more light on this, it will be much appreciated, PEACE!!!

heres are a few picz of my 2006_JDM_MR...

In the pics it looks like your struts are yellow though....are my eyes playing tricks on me

The GSR SE didn't come with Bilsteins FYI...

The SE does not come with the bilsteins. Just the alum roof, bbs wheels, "zero lift kit" and red accenting on the seats and HIDS... Essentially its a five speed MR with some different accents, no vortex generator... I think that covers it... As it already has been.

My bad. I thought the aero kit was referred to as the zero lift kit...Whatever the different front spoiler is referred to as... We have it.

For more trivia, anyone know how many SE's they actually made? The non MR, badged SE. Just curious. I heard somewhere that the RS's were a rather limited run - something like 8K?

It's cool, it was just a confusion of words. The "aero kit" you're thinking of appears as a "deeper chin spoiler" or something along those lines on the window sticker description, while the actual zero-lift kit, as I'm sure you're aware of, includes the wicker bill wing extension and the black plastic part under the front bumper that aides with downforce.

I know there is a thread about this, so you may want to search. But I do remember the entire IX RS run being less than 1000 if I remember correctly.
