Noob, 17 year old, want EVO BAD!
.
If he was talkin about the g37X (all wheel drive) thats only in the four door, and comparing the 4door G to the evo is even more ludacrous than the coupe G
i completely overestimated the cost of a beater...
i guess I'll just try to get a really cheap one like around 1k and just learn to drive stick which hopefully only takes a couple months or so...
then i have alot more options on X's cause the gsr is much cheaper then the MR and I would even have left over $

I was assuming he meant the coupe, if so-thats another large difference, one is a coupe one is a four door-completely different platforms by completely different companies

but stock the g37 coupe blows the evo out of the water, the g37 pulls 340+ HP stock...
your not going to get a Evo X or Mr for under 25k unless its salvaged or used heavly with issues and tons of miles. I say get a beater car like a honda civic or Rsx type s and work on that car fix it up turbo it whatever get used to driving that around town and modding to get experence modding in general then go out and get that evo a year or two later .
Lol since when did an RSX-S become a beater? I would've loved to have one of those for my first car. Not that im complaining, i had an AT 06' RSX.
There is nothing wrong with waiting. With basically 0 driving experience, I would not want my first vehicle to be that expensive. Take a couple years (5) and get used to driving. That means driving in dry pavement, wet pavement, and snow. Get used to driving in the city and out in the sticks.
Despite how mature you may think you are, you've never really driven a car in any and all situations that you will eventually find yourself in. The more experience you get the better your will react and make better driving decisions. Just be patient and hope the green movement doesn't destroy these cars.

i was in a similar boat.... i have wanted an evo since i saw the article in road & track in 2002 with the LY VIII. i have never been handed anything in my life, my parents have been divorced since i was 6 and they are both broke (believe me random people dont believe i paid cash for the car and accuse me of having my parents pay for it and thats gets stupid old really fast). i wanted an evo more than anything and i would go to any length to get it. this was when i was 16 years old and fresh into the real world of cars and money.
one really good full-time job later and 3 years after i turned 16... bam now i have a beautiful Blue By You Evo VIII GSR (check out my profile garage thingy) that i have put 24,000 miles on since August 25th of last year.
also keep that in mind the cost of maintenance is insane and i do 90% of maintenance myself.

ahhh 17 with hormones raging, i see your raging right now with ur avatar.
ive seen some pretty responsible 17 yr olds, but the evo is not the easiest car to maintain and insurance is killer if ur paying by yourself

That is an extremely stupid comment. You really think the g blows and evo out of the water? Then leave this forum and join a g forum. Thats a really ignorant comment.
g37 coupe 0-60 just a shade over 5 seconds as said in road and track. last time i checked even the 8 had that. You must learn that HP isnt everything weight is a very large factor. Not to mention the evo could make minced meat of the g37 on the track.
sry it doesnt "blow it out of the water" but it factually has more power then an evo. I was overestimating by saying it blows it out of the water...
and no i wont ****ing leave this forum to join a g forums, thanks for the invitation though -.-
edit- I understand weight has a large factor, I'm trying to say here is that if you took the motor from both the cars, put it in the same exact weighing car, the infiniti wins. sorry to hurt anyones feelings -.-
