If I'm not mistaken, the stock wheels weigh about 21 lbs. That makes the BBS 19 lbs. My Volks weigh 17 lbs (and cost less than the BBS).

This does not include destination....so MR fans get prepared to spend over 35 grand for this car!

The MR's msrp will probably increase the resale value of the 03/04 evos. Not a bad thing.

JohnnyTwoThumbs is dead on. No matter what Evo you choose, any one of these can outperform cars 2 and 3 times the price. Also, how many other cars other than the evo (and sti and a couple of others) offer a six speed for under $50K? Bimmers etc. are pushing beyond that pricewise and they still can't touch the performance. I am getting an MR and I could care less what it costs relative to the other evos. Maybe to some the value isn't there within the evo family, but it is still amazing relative to OTHER manufacturers' offerings. Just my $.02

The same for the MR model, the $34,199 price includes the $800 MR option package, NOT in addition to.
That is not true. You can't order the RS or the MR without the $570 or $800 package. There is only one template for either of them.

The GSR is the only car where there is any sort of option. With or without the Sun and Sound plus Leather package.

those option prices are included in the price, its just a breakdown. Maybe they will be options for the GSR at some point?

EVONEIL, not to be rude....but you are wrong. I just rechecked to make sure I looked at it right last night. The price with the included package according to dealerlink is 34,999. And that package is not optional it is included(standard). What you are looking at is the base vehicle price. You then have to add the options.....which in this case is included. Making it 34,999. It is NOT 34,199.

Where did I ever suggest ANYTHING about rice? I hate rice. All I was saying was don't include something most people think is sub-par anyways (and charge 300+ for). It's not about rice, it's about buying BETTER gauges.

And don't go lecturing about bling, and then post a picture of your engine bay. What the heck is that photo for? Just because something is "functional," doesn't mean it isn't "bling."

And I all ready stated I didn't want a freakin' Sti.

And remember, price is set by the market, not by the manufacturer. It's certainly "suggested" by the manufacturer (hence MSRP). It will be interesting to watch what happens with the MR. Like I said before, I may be wrong, but I think the MR is priced a little high. What do I know though, I'm just an enthusiast.

And all of a sudden, those who swears that they were getting a MR cries about the price Calling current EVO owners MR haters when they express their opinions of not willing to pay $35k for a EVO that is slightly better. Putting "MR" as their vehicle in their signatures

Anyways, if you are still getting it, good for you. But those that thought they were getting it until the see the price (as I have expected), what do you expect the price to be. You know what it had compared to the GSR/RS. You know the GSR is at like 31k-33k with options. You expect the MR to be like 32k-33k too??? Come on people, be more realistic. You knew it all along even before the price was officially announce. You knew it was going to be at least 34k.

I too think it is too much....too much for a in general. But if it wasn't a and it had all that, it isn't expensive, it is a bargain!!! As for me, I am just not willing to pay that much for a damn , no matter what it is. But, that's just me. If it was a Toyota/Honda/Nissan with all that, you bet I'll pay for it. Again, my opinion and no one elses!!!

Percy

This is the shi* exactly - if were really the best backed cars it would be worth it!!!

10years 100,000 mile warranty dont mean jack if you're flagged for abuse AFTER your engine or tranny blows. Evidence being the damage you came in to warranty?!

With all the electronic sensors and complex computer stuff in the Evo I cannot afford to have shi**y service dept voiding warranties!

Too many complaints from EvoM members. I'm raving at because I was ready to buy this car and after reading warranty thread and seeing the bottom line price. I need fantastic service to back up this price. And frankly that's not what I'm hearing from alot of Evo brothers.

better be reading this because Evo owners and potential Evo owners like myself are usually car enthusiasts. Meaning none of our friends or family will likely buy a vehicle without running it by us first! If we are dissatisfied with service or policies the effect will be compounded

sorry for the rant - such a great car with crappy backing - I'm disappointed.

my civic runs on a motec m800. i've wired it to trigger one of the various unused lights on my integra type r cluster if anything steps out of parameters.

also, what 3 gauges can you really get for around $300 bucks? that won't buy you defi. if you tell me autometer... hate to break it to you but i doubt those are all that much better.

the way i see it all the MR bashers who obviously aren't going to buy the car seem to stress all the unimportant accessories as to what really makes an MR.

whereas, the people who are actually buying want the 6-speed, aluminum roof, wheels, shocks, and hids. (sure you could buy an RS and replace all these things and come out in the black, and that's fine, but I want to keep my car stock).

well the obvious truth is the MR comes with all that stuff and that's why its more expensive. maybe there is a price premium for the MR, I won't try and argue that there isn't. but the fact is there at this point there are more people who want to buy it than there are cars to sell. maybe a few months from now it will go for below msrp. oh well, i need a car now. i needed a car back in july actually. it's obvious that if you wait, eventually the car will be cheaper. however, there's also a small likelihood that while you're waiting you could cross the street and get hit by a car and die. i still see regular evo's marked up at various dealerships in my area. i don't have time to waste further haggling.
