Lancer Evolution XI goes hybrid [merge]
Well, you know what most people here here are going to think
They still complain about the X having too many electrical bits.
I'll reserve judgement until we have some actual specs. However, it was inevitable that manufacturers were going to start looking into "performance" hybrids. Honda is already attempting it with the under-powered CR-Z (and slightly better CR-Z Spoon model.) Who knows, maybe Mitsubishi can come up with something more exciting?

I'm bit curious to know what the Mitsubishi engineers will do with the electrical motor would be cool if they incorporated a KERS F1 type system. 80 bhp on tap push a button and instant whoohooo. Would definitely be down for that, but I will hold off judgment until an official press release.
not that I am a big fan of hybrid tech for moding, and probably I dont want one, but anyone who doubts that hybrid tech WILL potentially be really awesome in about 10-15 years probably needs to watch this video about the porsche GT3 R Hybrid. Pretty incredible. I like that new version of the "boost guage" lol

What the article says is right, I rather have an Evo then no Evo at all. Plus, Mitsubishi is NOTHING without the Evo right now; it is a name they have invested too much in.
