Cool article, yet another magazine claiming the MR is coming.

 

While the magazine article above does indicate that the "MR is coming," given that the torque figure was printed in kilogram-meters I doubt the article was from a stateside mag.

That being said, if this beauty finds its way to the states, I'm pretty sure it would end my constant indecision and waffling between the STi and the Evo

 

Besides the R&T mag saying that the MR will come to our side; are there any other mags claiming the same??

Not to mention that would make it a MY06 car which means there will be two model years between the MY03 and the MY06 without Evos in this market. That would be rather odd and should help a little with the pathetic resale values of the current Evos.

It would also be way too long a wait. I sense this summer it will arrive. Probably August.



Btw, take careful note of the center console bearing what looks like a radio/CD headunit and compare that with the LHD Evo MR reviewed in R&T which lacks it. Euro market always gets some things we don't. I'd bet theirs gets AYC also.

 

If they started tp sell it in June 2004, It would have to be as a MY05. EPA has rules for MY designations.

 

That looks like the JDM, dealer-installed dual DIN set-up. I do hope they make the dual DIN an option for the manual A/C that the US usually gets.

It would make a good gauge location.

Also in GSR form the MR gets a torsen front and SAYC
