The price that was quoted in this thread is not right . Mitsubishi has not released pricing on this car yet . Please only post correct information. When the price is released I will post. I'm getting the price through the General Manager at Mitsubishi here in Florida. It will be posted through dealerlink as FAVRE95 has posted above.

Evo Mr

I am currently 1 on list and should be first in South Florida to recieve MR.

GM has stated that MR should be no higher than $ 34,000.

Waiting for Wicked White MR.

Why not consider an '05 Evo with the leather package... it would be just as fast and the interior is pretty sweet and you would be able to upgrade more easily then an STI.

But...then again I'm a big scooby fan and the '05 is even sweeter, and what a hearty drivetrain

I paid invoice for my weightless white Evo nearly a year ago exactly. I think that it was right around 28 or so. I would have a really hard time justifying that kind of a hike in price for what it is, this is not to knock the MR in any way as it is a bad Evo, but that is a lot of money. The up side is that if they do not sell them as quickly as they think, then in about 7-8 months the prices will be falling fast.

I agree. Depending on where invoice is, I'm looking to knock around $2000 off the price of the MR. I don't want to pay MSRP, but the sales guys over there are nice, and I want to be fair to them as well.

i doubt they will be around for 7-8months after the release, i put a downpayment because i feel most will be pre-sold. As soon as they release the MSRP then we will see more reserves on the car or perhaps more returns depending on what the price ends up coming to. Im on this boat as of right now, I refuse to pay over 35 before destination

hmm... my plan has been to buy the '05 GSR for some time. anyone think it's unreasonable to negotiate for invoice? or should I try and wait it out a little before buying it?

It sounds like alot of you wanted to get an STI to begin with but for some reason decided the MR was a better alternative and now the price is higher then you expected so you're back to STI.. Why didn't you consider a GSR? One is still a Subie, the other is still a mitsu? Is the 6 spd that important to you? Please help me understand this.

At this point I'm just surprised people aren't at least decided on one brand or the other. Did you feel like you needed to pay more than $30,000 to have a good sports car but now feel that 35k is just too much??

One thing thats being forgotten is the awesome performance value you get in an Evo to begin with. All of the advantages of AWD without much of the handling weaknesses. It's an amazing car. I think the Evo could have been a more limited production at $40k from the start here and still been very well accepted. It is not a 3000GT VR4, it's so much better then that with or without a couple of cylinders.

If I was you I would get the '05 GSR, that way you could get the front LSD and the bigger turbo.

Ummm Someone posted a while ago that ordered an MR. Arrival is Oct. 22nd and the MSRP is in writing at $33,055.

Nobody should get their panties too tight so quickly before we even know what the price is.

the turbo on the '05 GSR are no bigger than the ones that are on previous EVO VIII's... it is the inlet housing that has been redesigned
