i think you guys just get the bad salespeople. i deal with evo customers all the time and i can usually send them home with any info that they needed and they sounded happy to me. anyways, news on the inside is that the MR with markup (because we will only get 6) will be around 40,000, but you guys gotta understand that no matter what the price is that people will always try to talk us down! if it was like 10,000 theyd try to get it for 7k., but anyways the dealers are trying to get as many as they can out for 40k and then start lowering the price.

also, dont expect any test drives on these cars because even the salespeople cant drive them

Yeah, you work there, that's the problem...

I remember the 20k markup at your stealership when the EVO first came out.

Your opinion is lip service... anybody that "stops by" your stealership usually gets price gouged.

what i've done down here is take a $1,000 fully refundable deposit and reserve a VIN# for MSRP. if you don't purchase it upon 1 day of arrival, the VIN# is then surrendered and available to other customers, hopefully for more than MSRP . PM me.

oh... that gouging I have no knowledge of... i concentrate on my own path, my own bonues, and my own customer service... it's a 15k mark-up actually. that's there to show the people who aren't in the know what type of vehicle the EVO is. i've only sold one EVO above MSRP and that was an '04 RS for $750 above right when it came out. luckily, i'm not a gouger! =)

So let me get this straight, I can give you a refundable $1,000 deposit and you will give me an EVO MR for MSRP on day #1? What about all the times you talked about markup?? PM me with your cell # or something I will put $1,000 down I want to see what the catch is...

Go to some1 that can get you a vin and a von in your color with a build and estimated delivery date for MSRP, then leave a deposit, get a purchase order written up for MSRP signed by the manager..........and wait for delivery.

Actually you are a gouger I picked up my RS when they first came out, the first white RS in South Florida, right around invoice. Dealers that employ these practices pay the price eventually...word spreads pretty quick. I know when I first looked at Evo's there was a yellow one down at Delray Mitsubishi marked up to $40,000... Guess what, it's still there.

I think everyone on here should make it known to dealers that if the mark it up you won't buyt hat car and you will never buy anything from them. Seriously, there are too many good dealers out there that will cut you an honest deal.

As for the bang for the buck and the "Truth of the MR" all that has to be said is 2 seconds a lap faster. LOL, truth about a performance car from Edmunds, oh, it hurts, the laughter, make it stop.

This variable is just that...a variable. Does this mean the averahge Evo owner can drive the car two seconds a lap faster? Did the same test driver drive the "regular" evo and the Mr back to back? Lap times are like Dyno figures, too many variables to be definative.

PM'd... give me a call and we'll set everything up. It's actually not going to be day #1. The first 8 have already been reserved, so you'll get the 9th which will be shipped out on 10/10/04. A total of 16 though, so have no fear.

2004 Ralliarts for $12,595
MR's for MSRP
and many other cars 4 grand off before rebate.

What I suggest you do is do a little research before you start dissing people you don't know. Ask anyone in SoCal to pick up a Daily News this weekend and look on the back of the Sports section.

I think those are pretty damn good deals right there, what about you?

What I suggest you do is read the post where the salesguy said he charged $750 OVER MSRP... And i will feel free to express my opinion on sleezy sales practices.

Sleezy my ***. We're here to earn a living. For example:

Banana Republic
Dawson Lightweight Chino's
$98 in the Spring
They're now on sale for $29.99

Now, am I supposed to call Banana Republic and tell them they're a sleezy retail store?

LOL.

I wanted a product while it was hot, so I paid for it.

And what, may I ask, do you do for a living? You know where this is going, so get out of the hole while you can.
