yeah man... WTF. they probably know everyone is yearning to know and really want this car so they're holding off as long as possible... but then again, what type of professional business tortures like this... BUT THEN AGAIN, it does make the MR that much more interesting... DAMN BASTARDS.

dealers are not certain if they are getting 05 EVO's due to the uncertainty of Mitsu. it amazes me that they sent the MR. santa monica was the 1st dealer to get MR's. if i recall, i think they received 30 of them stickered high at $45k. thery've all been sold from what my brother told me.

Define "received", cause if you mean the dealer has the cars allocated to them I can agree, if you mean having the cars on the lot, im calling BS.

J - I think we have some wannabe - newbeeee speculation floating around. The car hasn't even received official pricing yet !!!!

... however, there may be a few testers floating around

so I won't be surprised if they are spotted.

Thanks for the tip. Turns out Ivan wasn't so bad (for the 'Ham anyway), God bless all those poor souls down on the Redneck Riviera. A few trees down, some power outages, and a whole lot of water was all we got. I'll remember that idea if Jeanne decides to take a wrong turn.

I don't understand why Mitsu is holding up on the MR price either. It isn't like Subaru has any card to play. The '05 STi is out, we know the specs and the price. I can understand why they held up the Eclipse so as not to go head to head with the Mustang premiere, but this is semi annoying. But then again we don't have any other '05 products either and they made some really last minute changes on a few '04 models, so maybe Mitsu has some sort of suprise up their sleeves for the Evo.

But as far as the prices. Just decide what your willing to pay, make your offer and if they don't budge - don't get mad, just bounce. Tell them to call you if they change their mind. There's like, 600 other dealers. I can't imagine all the MRs sitting around getting old because of ridiculous markups, but then again I didn't see it coming with the '03 model either. Mitsu isn't falling for it this time - no 2F2F marketing to get them all hyped up to overproduce. Supplies will be limited.

Ok here is the story I have from my dealer.

All MR's will be released on oct 18th from port.
At that time invoices will be avail for dealers to pull up on their systems (showing msrp).
At the same time....cars start leaving....figure 10-14days rail travel depending on your distance from port (im guessing long beach, cali?)

I called two of the dealers here and they both said the price is supposed to be $34,900.00 and one dealer is getting 4 MR's next week but that will be all they get for the year.
