CDO---

Maybe Rob can clarify this...but I saw on the COBBFORUMS a guy who was running the 93oct map and was having probs with his idle.....and I'm fairly sure someone from COBB chimmed in saying they may have some re-tweeking to do on that map.........once again this is from last week's memory so I may be off....but Rob could at least clarify if the 93map that was originally loaded needs some work

How old is your car by the way?....I would assume that a newer model IX less than a year old would hopefully not have any leaks if all the stock hoses, ICpipes, etc are still on.

And since you mentioned you didn't get the boost hose line from COBB....I am assuming all you did was remove the 2nd restrictor pill....when we did my setup that pill was removed and the main pill was re-drilled to a different size to get me to the target boost.....I would just ask COBB to send you out their line...as I think that is what they are doing now for the AP's not running any boost controllers.

Hope this helps....cause I'm more confused than ever

CPA5,
Brand new IX MR (SE). Bought in May. 4k on the odometer now.

For my elevation I was only supposed to remove the secondary pill.

I remember someone saying they had idle problems too and something about a fix. If worse comes to worse I'll remove my bumper to check out the lower IC pipes. Then I suppose I'll buy a boost leak tester and either have the dealer do the test if they know how or ask a friend who's more mechanically inclined.

Thanks for the help.

Yep, there will be some idle adjustments to a couple of maps. We should have those maps out be the end of the week. At that point the revised maps will be available for download.

Our Evo IX had two different boost leaks before 10k miles. The car was well taken care of, so the leaks did not develop due to neglect.

The boost lines from Cobb can be tailored to fit the turbo by changing the restrictor pill sizes. Most cars don't need this, but some do. Funny how cars can be so different coming from the same factory

Nice I think as many people that are going to get the AP should do so thru IA since they are highly motivated in delivering as much info as they can to us the End Users of the COBB products! SInce I happen to be right in town with them...I have had the opportunity to have them do all this work for me and they have gone above and beyond in terms of service and always letting me know what is happening at each step.

That IMO is worth the business

Steven / Rob---

Any idea as to why most times the AP will connect to show the live data and once in a while it won't connect (this has only happened I think 3 times since I have had it...so once again not a real problem...it will always re-connect to feed the live data the very next time....I am just curious as to why it happens)..thanks

We have made some revisions to the idle tables for the Stage2 93 v100 and Stage2 93 v100 High Elevation calibrations. We made a minor mistake with the initial calibration which made the vehicles running these calibrations have a lower than normal idle. We do not consider this revision a major revision that requires a Up Rev to v101. You can download these revised calibrations from our EVO 9 Map Link. These revised calibrations will show up on the AccessPORT as "Stage2 93 v100a" and "Stage2 93 v100a High Elevation". I apologize for this over site, we simply set the idle control tables to a lower than optimal setting with the initial release of these two EVO 9 calibrations. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

We have also uploaded the Married Stock Mode calibrations for all USDM EVO models.

Take care,
Christian.

It sure is nice to have a Professional company stand behind their product and offer quick solutions

One of the main reasons I bought the AP instead of running Open source

Rob@cobbtuning- do you know the draw the dongle alone creates? Similar to say an LED light, or a regular light bulb (for reference).

Stephen
Wanted to thank Stephen for hooking me up with the Cobb vac lines I am going to put them on this weekend and I'm confident that all my issues will be resolved.

Also COBB guys, any ETA on the release of the Pro-Tuner software? I am going to need a tune next month and I was hoping to take my car to P&L since it is relatively close to me for the work.

Should be out before the end of the month

What tuners have/will purchase the AccessTuner Pro software, that I'm unsure of.

As someone above also had, my realtime flashes take 4+ minutes and my reflashes take <1 minute. Is this how it is supposed to work?

Thanks

I am willing to make a financial investment in the software to be sure my BOYS at IA get the jump on this

If I got $5(fiiivvveee) On IT...is that enough

With the way the EVO ECU works, uploading Realtime data takes awhile. This is due in part to the way we have to send the data for the EVO ECU to accept it. Realtime is very useful on the EVO for tuning, but we are aware it is not as fast as we'd like it to be for map switching on the AccessPORT itself.

To address it, we'll have to rewrite a decent chunk of code on the ECU side. The AccessPORT would upload it MUCH faster if the ECU would allow for it. That's what we'll have to work on.

Cheers,
Trey @ COBB
