20 in hg is pretty good if your below 18 or so then you can suspect a leak. but just in case look over all of your hoses. does it run lumpy....high idle...ect?

Oic, cool.

Actually RPM is fine, when I start it up, it didn't rev up high, it's now idling at around 1 rpm then drop to 700. I found a leak, my coolant feed line, I just have to tighten it up, no problem.

alright well then just make sure everything is triple checked and your boost is set at mininum and you have more fuel then you need, just to be safe. then take that bad boy out for a drive. watch your afr if you have that guage, if not then just be gentle for a while and then pull your plugs out and see how they look (saturated, fouled, burnt, ect) to give you a rough idea how much fuel your gettin. again...be safe with it, lots of fuel is better then not enough.

So I should check my spark plugs? Everything is tight, except the turbo cooland feed line, but I'll check (x3) like what you said. Btw I have like less than 1/4 of gas (below the last line).

don't have to check your plugs now...just after you've been boosting for a while.

Ok cool. I am going to fill up my gas tank later and gently test drive it.

hey pare, It seems like you got everything setup right, why not invest a boost leak tester? It's well worth to find if there are leaks before it get's bigger. You know what I mean? Question for me though, I got mine at -22 hg at idle so does mine have a leak?

nah, thats pretty much spot on. thats probably what most guys are getting, I know on my SC I'm anywhere from -18 to -22hg at idle or off throttle (like when coasting). Subtle little differences could be attributed to the weather, humidity, pressure, even altitude.

but hey, congrats on getting the car started. as everyone else has said, take it easy on her until you know everything is running right, then have fun

Yeah -20 engine vacuum is pretty normal at idle.. remember at idle the turbo is a slight restriction so it raises your vacuum at idle. You might have to swap your MAF for an EVO maf if you find you get metering errors..

My turbo Lancer ran at -20 at idle, -25 letting off the gas while driving, so you're good to go. Throttle cable settings will alter where your vac reading will be at. My MSP sits at -20 at idle, but only goes to -22 letting off the gas while driving. Although, it might be a discrepency between gauges (different gauges between the two cars). Either way, you should be seeing something lower than -18 when idling.

Do you have a wideband, datalogger, etc in your car? I would be a bit weary driving around with a custom kit without the goods to monitor every little detail.

EDIT: Jimmy, with your car sitting at -22, does not indicate a vacuum leak. A vac leak would cause a reading of something higher than -18, if it was around -10 I would suspect a vac leak.

Btw, I don't have enough money right now and I won't get my paycheck until next Friday. So I'll buy some goodies next week.

Here are some pics I've taken...
