I emailed the original owner of the turbo... well the second owners of the kit. This is what he said. What do you guys think?

The only other problem i was having was the car was idling in traffic at liek 3.5 rpm so i was liek F this and got rid of the kit. Two weeks later the car dies and i find out i had a short in the ecu from when i had the rrm piggy hooked up. So basically everything ran great except the stuff i neglected on my own end of the car. I put about 15-20k miles on it but i picked it up used on this site from pgmike. Anything else just let me know

wow, so you are this kits 4th owner.

doesn't sound like the kit has any serious problems. I would bet his idling issue was because of the ECU

you may wanna triple check everything though, just incase

Well the 3rd owner doesn't coun't because he didn't even put it on... so I'm like the third... Most likely well over 50k on this kit. That doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy.

the RRM kits are pretty reliable though. There are guys on here with like 40K miles on them with no issues.

you should be fine. just keep up the maintainance

Well according to pgmike's sell thread he only had 10k miles on the kit... so that puts it at about 30k miles at the most.

So that's not so bad.

Anyone know where I can pick up a compatible widband gauge to read off of a LC-1 Innovate WO2 sensor?

I know it's cheesey, but I want to preinstall the guages before I install the turbo to save time. It's going to take me several weekends to do everything so I figure I can get all of the gauges set up in advance.

Right now I have a autometer boost, and egt guage... I'm adding the wideband, and possibly a oil pressure guage. Better safe than sorry, right?

Also anyone know where I can get looms of wire for cheap?

Just purchased a wideband gauge... for a gift turbo this is starting to get expensive.

Anyone know what size wastegate gaskets I need to get? Once I have them in I drop the turbo in and be boostin!

It should be 35-38mm. That's the wastegate size that comes with the kit :3

Well i think the composite one is supposed to be best especially with an uneven flange surface, i am picking one up this weak. I think with the fact that he had issue with his WG gasket u should pick up the more expensive one, and maybe two just to have em because you dont want exhuast leak when your boosted, you'll feel slower than NA.

On that thought i sugest you have your flange surfaces resurfaced. u scan do it with a hand sander and some paper from home depot. that way they are smooth and even.
