It was my understanding that the so long as the core was intact it would be alright. The fins just conduct heat away from the core, similar to a heat sync on a CPU. I have found that they sell kits to check for SRTs but have yet to find one that is universal. I'll run a few more searches and find one hopefully by the end of the day.

Can't you just take it(IC) to a radiator shop and have them check it. Sounds like something they could help with.

That sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion. I feel like a total novice with this stuff. I just want to make sure everything is cool... espically because it is a used kit. Now to find a radiator shop.

intercooler doesn't look too bad, take it to a shop if u want. Or just pressure test it if you want.

as for the wastegate, use the barb on the side of the bell not on the top.

You should have seen it before I cleaned it. I should have pictures of the rest of the kit up later today, if I can size them to fit.

I guess the only question is how to pressure test this... anyone got a "how to" sitting around?

I've seen only pictures of the RRM IC stage one kit, and this looks somewhat different. From the looks of it this kit is different.

This is a picture of the kit on the privous owners car:

Do you happen to know the previous owner? And if you do how many miles are on the kit? There seemed to be some oil leak on the turbo and that can't be good.

Nem bought the kit from gbwaacha

here is the sale thread where he got it: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=241300

And here is his first thread about the kit.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=166724

It started out life as a non intercooled RRM kit, then got into an accident, and apparently piping was damaged, so TurboTrix did new piping, installed an intercooler and checked everything out.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.... answers all my questions about the kit. I just wanted to make sure before I started bolting stuff on. Better save than sorry.
