So where did you end up finding the Pistons and rods? The guy I was buying the "Pistons" from listed them as pistons... For over a week we were talking about the pistons... Then when I got there, 2 hours away to pick them up, they were rods... So I still need to find myself a set of forged pistons.

I have heard that the valves are notall that strong either, what are you doing to prevent those from failing at high boost? Or have I missunderstood ??

I know speed corps has pistons. They are made by wiseco I believe. I haven't heard anything about the valves breaking though. You would just need to upgrade the valve springs if using an aftermarket cam. And by aftermarket, I mean RPW, not RRM's pos cam.

+1

I haven't heard a thing about valve issues in the 4G9x head with boost.

Better order your rods soon. And tear down that motor already! I need to port and polish that head and intake.

Im sorry that i havent read this entire thread, but if you are still running a 16g and want to make 350whp on a g94 block, its going to take a good amount of boost. Depending on mods, i would say in the 25psi range min which is going to take pump + meth or race gas to reach. If you remember back to omarboy, his 50trim (which is bigger than a 16g) did 300whp at around 20psi with a ported head and cam setup. Hope you plan on spending a good deal of money and have something more than 440cc injectors to get you there. 850cc and corn fuel would be a easier way of making the power if you have access to e85

Roberts made 340 to the wheels at what, 22lbs I believe? And this was with the pos RRM cam. 350 is a decent goal. We plan on taking Roberts to 400+ here very soon. (on pump)

Does he plan on spending another $24,000 to reach that 400+ (I'm sorry, but it had to be said)
