Yeah, sounds like you guys have your work cut out for you. I've known engines to cost about...300 bucks shipping, sometimes more depending on size and weight. Road trip?

Might be best to check with some others who have shipped engines, and see who they use. I hear something like 50 bucks per hundred pounds is somewhat standard.

I can pay for the shipping, lets say for ex its 300 I can pay you another 300 total of 600, and ship it here and we can get a notary faxed over where we both sign it that way im covered for the motor and your covered for the payments, but I need a ship quote

all I want is the bottom block with the oil pan, I don't need the head or the intake mani, I plan on using mine still

you won't be able to do it yourself, I think you can go to a shipping warehouse that will get you a pallet, and they can secure the motor down, i think from NJ to TX should be around 200 for freight but that is a guess, I can also call around as well

I went to a junk yard today and they gave me a site to use, I can pallet it and strap it down, it's cheaper if u are there to take it off the truck, like they add more for using the lift gate and such so save ur self some dow and take it off the truck urself, its not that heavy lol
