+1 i cleaned my pan REALLY good, and made sure the surfaces were nice and dry, although the black RTV gasket is made for oil applications and if there is a little bit of oil on there it shouldnt be too bad.

Has anyone used a stock evo exhaust manifold and piggybacked the 4g94 flange onto it. I know it has been done with aftermarket ones but just wanted to see if anyone had used the stock evo one. I plan on using a speedcorps or a RRM one but just wanted to know.

i have a stock evo exhaust manifold with a 4g94 flange weld over, looks good. For anyone that did this i recommend you heat your headers in the oven for at least 3 hours at 450f to take off all the stress from the weld. And the bad side of it is that yes it is now a warped header, really hard to not make it bend while you weld, what to do is have it machined. Or just some gasket made for warped headers. Mine are warped of maybe 2mm you cant notice until you put a level on it. What to do is also to retight the bolts after a run with the car so that you can tight it more and try to get it straighten.

and the bolt holes mostly all align but 2 , so you just resize them.
I personnaly dont think it was too complicated and it was quite a budget

Still need to dremel out the runners to match better, and get a drill press to get those holes through. But ya, thats it.
