Thats for sure, I am way thankful for 03lances. It wouldnt have got this far without him. I am way disapointed with RRM if this kit is fine and how they norm ship it. Pipes seem pretty poor design. for location of stuff IE BOV ports. At this point I am trying to figure out where we should go. Im trying to find out if I could use the stock 9 ic with my current pipes as then it would put the IC much higher then where it is now. Right now i dont think I could honestly get the car out of my driveway with how low it is+ my coilovers.

ouch. ya i know sometimes with how peoples cars are setup, not all 'bolt on' setups will work because of reasons just like urs. evo parts will work, but the lower IC pipe depedningon on the location of the turbo may or may not work, might have to find some way to manipulate the pipe and or connections to better suite the car. i know a few of my connection pieces are really twisted around sometimes just for more clearance

I took measurements of ground cleareance with my IC and his. Mine was about 5" higher off the ground than his!!! and his coilovers are not really adding to that problem because my car is lowered as well and he has maybe a 1/2" lower drop in the front right now. Even if he could get out of his driveway which we both seriously doubt. One speed bump would destroy the IC . Ryan is not the only one learning alot from this build lol. Other than my manifold issue everything else was a piece of cake with the turbo portion of my install compared to this kit . Just the roll of the dice I guess we are so close to finishing but scheduling conflicts will put this build off until at least the week after next.

My IC pipe would be higher, if I could get a better fitting Coolant Tank....stupid thing keeps my pipe from sitting up above the bottom of the bumper. Does yours get in the way, or...what? Better solution?

Wow. Ive been kinda gone for a long time. Glad to see another build happening. Even with the safety bar gone he still has intercooler clearance issues? Wow....how big of an intercooler does he have? It might be in the first post with all his parts. I sorta skimmed over that.

upon further investigation its the rrm big intercooler. Hope that goes well compared to what youve gone threw so far.

This ic is bolted to the bottom of the crashbar hence why its so low.

well some small good news today, i found a coupler that will work for the intake pipe to the turbo so now just need the coupler for the intake pipe to the maf, finish extending my 02 sensors and mounting the 2nd o2 behind my high flow cat to keep it happy & the po po. Then figure out something with the IC. I want to cut the crash bar but I dont have the tools todo it so will need 03 or gotta go spend some more cash. Not really excited about the later at this point but if 03s schd wont work out for a couple weeks might need to. Thankfully the family has an extra car but no one likes driving it haha..Oh and get the damn downpipe extended and welded since the ***** cut it off instead of unbolting it.

I put in for the 17th off, going to talk to the boss to get a confirmation on that. Hopefully cutting that bar will raise the ic high enough for us.

really man? Thats awesome, hopefully they can make your schd work so it doesnt screw up your stuff much at all. Yeah im hoping so. I really am tempted to pick up a evo9 fmic and see if the pipes will line up with the 45 bends. Seems easier and would cost about $130~. Cant decide. And cant sleep haha

Ill look under my hood tomorrow although not sure what you mean. Nothing hits my coolant overflow although my pipes hang real low too never tried to raise them up at all.

Did you measure the IC you have now? Basically if the outlets are roughly the same distance apart campared to the stock evo ic then it should work with the right couplers. There is some give in the piping.
