I noticed there seemed to be a descent amount more room with this setup compared to mine. Also noticed this turbo comes no where close to the waterpipe unlike mine. I actually am going to take my coldside off tonight after work and clean it up now that I dont have coolant dribbling down constantly onto it lol. Also going to grind off a little more just incase its rattling against the water pipe durring acceleration Here is my clearance right now: Virtually no gap lol

So who has an idea trying to install the dual springs just to get 18lbs on the wastegate I had ordered the large blue to get my combo up to like 23lbs if i recall (figured use the boost controller to turn it up/down for tuning since its not really a replaceable part once the manifold is installed. I swear just us getting the current springs in about killed us and if one had slipped prob woulda taken out a tooth with that spring tension. I dont think a c-clamp will work well as to much side to side play trying to line it up and compress the springs. In anycase I think a bullet proof face mask is in order before trying to install that blue spring combo...

I'm confused about what you mean, the spring is so stiff you can't compress it to close the thing down?

On the "third member" of my buddies truck, we stuck 3 "all thread" bars through opposite holes, and tightened down a nut on each side until the detroit locker was close enough to thread a few of them in, then we just took the all thread out and put the other screws in....not sure if that would work, or if there is thin enough all thread to go through the wastegate holes, or if you have enough.

Yeah the thing with just the 18lb dual spring setup was a pain to compress. I can only imagine with the blue spring combo its going to be a good deal stiffer. the problem isnt so much compressing it but doing it evenly to get the screws in and not catch the diaphram.

boost controllers can up to double whatever wastegate spring max is set to handle.

From what it looks like you will have to cut the pipes or do what jake says. It can work. You can go to autozone or oriellys or whatever parts store is near you. They should have some piping you can work with. Im sure they have ones that you can use.

Well Im sure what concerns Ryan is cutting the pipes would mean cutting off the small raised ridge at the end of the pipe that keeps the hose from slipping off when pressurized. I suppose we could flare out the edges for the same purpose.

Correct and I am not sure if we cut it if it will still line up well enough with couplers. Beading is deff a must IMO so need to find someone that can do it.

Yeah I would be worried about it coming off when your boosting especially because your going to be boosting more than the typical 5psi.

sorry I meant stick with the mbc lol, since I havent been on its like im loosing all my turbo knowledge and detailed. Dont think I don't check out your threads once in awhile.

for your intercooler pipes loosen the clamp and rotate the pipe up towards teh intercooler and just get a straight coupler and measure how much you need to cut and that should solve your problems
