Ha...Its a shame i dont have the replacement turbo yet...I have a feeling this swap will go pretty fast since got the oil pan sealed Just need to clean the head install the new cam shaft and put it all together. Then say a small prayer that it runs and doesnt knock for a week or two for 03's and my schd to line up again hopefully.
gotcha. One last question: how did you take the pulley out that holds the timing belt. I'm trying to take the oil pump off the block but I can't take that pulley off. I'm almost ready to bag everything up and find a machine shop for the spare motor but I can't take that pulley off. PM me your email so I can send you a pic of what I'm talking about.

You lost me there cran please explain more. The cheapest True Evo3Big16g i found was forcedperformance for 550 shipped. I wouldnt expect a real to be any cheaper. The 200-300 are usually the knock offs which at this point a couple hundred bucks isnt worth the risk to me or hassle of having to replace it in 20k
The pulley that both belts link onto and the timing belt goes around? The crankshaft pulley I believe they call it. Only way to remove that is with an impact wrench. I had to actually put a glove on, and twist the impact socket opposite teh way it was loosening to get enough "umph" to get mine loose. (neat trick aye?)
You can remove the crank pulley by putting a flat bar between the rod and block if the oil pans off and take a long breaker bar and some pebetrating oil break that ****er loose.
Yeah nothing holds it on but it nigh be a little stuck. You can tap lightly with a hammer and spray some penetrating fluid on the backside between the block and the gear then let it sit awhile to loosen up.
